Right, the family problems being that their families wouldn't accept them for being who they are.

I am volunteering here in the UK with an agency that works with LGBT asylum-seekers. These are people who have fled their countries, fled their families, and put themselves utterly at risk in a foreign country, because they are LGBT. If it was a choice, why on Earth would they make it?

Trust that there is much legit science behind sex. Sex is a multi billion dollar industry. Sexual orientation is not chosen, that seems to be pretty well documented.
