Eternity in heaven?

Guy Threepwood

Let's say that you end up in heaven for eternity, with the loved ones. How long it will be before they drive you insane? And what can you do anyway, since you're stuck there forever?

You will love them and they will love you, eternally. Along with God

all that hate - you have learned to leave behind, or you are not there to begin with

"Heaven" in the Baha'i belief is nearness to God and the soul after our separation from the body continually progresses through the spiritual worlds... so "heaven" is not a static prison like locale but a state of being.

The problem with eternity is that it lasts for a very long time. LOL And no cable TV

I wonder where people get the notion that humans are all going to heaven?....(or the other place )

Where did God put humans in the first instance? It wasn't heaven. (Genesis 2:7-9)

How long did God say humans were going to live? There was only one cause of death, and it wasn't "natural". (Genesis 2:15-17)

What was "the tree of life" for? (Genesis 3:22-24)

Where did God tell Adam he would go when he died? It wasn't a fiery hell. (Genesis 3:19)

There was no "heaven or hell" scenario ever mentioned in Genesis.....just life or death. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
One could "choose life" by being obedient to God's commands.

No one goes to heaven unless they are invited and the majority of humans are not invited. (Luke 22:28-30)

The kingdom is made up of those chosen to be 'kings and priests' (Revelation 20:6)....it is a heavenly government that will rule over earthly subjects. (Revelation 21:2-4) It will restore God's original purpose to have an obedient race of perfect creatures who reflect his qualities and can take care of this planet as something valuable to its majestic 'Landlord'. :)

Didn't Jesus say that "the meek shall possess the earth"? Didn't he pray for God's kingdom to "come" so that God's will can be "done on earth as it is in heaven"? The Earth was always going to be the permanent home of humankind. (Isaiah 55:11)

Heaven was never in God's original purpose for the human race, but the heavenly kingdom became the solution to the dilemma created by rebellion and abuse of free will. It will bring about reconciliation with God by means of Jesus' sacrifice.
Only 144,000 will have the privilege of ruling with Christ. (Revelation 14: 1, 3, 4) ;)

We live on to help take care of our families in this life. There's millions of people/spirits helping us out. "Heaven" is on earth. I've seen a spirit on earth and experienced spirits physically; so, that's how I came to that reasoning. I don't call it heaven because I know there are spirits that aren't feeling quite happy just as on earth. Dying physically doesn't change how we experience things from life to life. Some people say they feel they have past lives.

Others say heaven is a state of mind. and so forth.

I think of Heaven/Summerland as a place of family, of perfect love and perfect trust. A place to go back home to, and be in peace. In the living plane of existence we struggle, feel pain, and are conditioned to suffer. This is what we are conditioned to accept as a normal way to live our existence, the birth pains of life. So imagine how strange and foreign it might seem to be in a place where you are loved simply for being you. The next level of consciousness, of pure being, is the test you will need to overcome when you cross over to this level of existence. In this magnificent cosmos there is only you and the connection you have to the entire Universe and beyond. I am not sure if what I wrote helped answer your question, but I sincerely hope Heaven/Summerland is an inspiration and not a burden when you arrive there. The family, the Home, The Unconditional Love, and the Awe Inspiring Perfection that will surround you can open your eyes to the endless possibilities of what you can become once you arrived to your next level of existence!

god is like. What if I throw some people who will go to heaven, with another bunch of people who will go to hell, mix them up as much as possible between each other, and see what happens.

Phhht...if I end up in heaven, I'm calling the manager and asking what sort of shoddy establishment he's running.

Have you ever experienced what the word infinity feels like when it works in tandem with 'despair', 'misery', 'sadness', 'agony' in either hell ?

Lets just say, your physical body will be dust in seconds and you will be screaming in agony for eternity in the Lake of Fire. Surprisingly, the film 'Constantine' with Keanu Reeves is very close to the lake. There is a interesting reason why all that is heard in the Lake, is the wind and the flames.

Quick, worship God or he's gonna torture the CRAP out of you...

Colour me unconvinced of that God's worthiness of worship.

If the physical body is dust, which part will be screaming in pain? Do you mean mental pain? Also, was Constantine filmed nearby a lake, or do you mean the lake of fire? What is the interesting reason why "all that is heard is the wind and the flames"; and how could anyone possibly know this - or was that in the movie?

Soul = Body + Spirit so spirits are immortal and can never be destroyed.

In the Lake of Fire, sinners stand in the form of skeletons because that is what their spirits are programmed to assume they are.

They stand upright, jaws wide open screaming in agony as the flames lick their bones, facing a blackened sky. As their flesh was destroyed long ago, their screams are silent. Just like the film, all that is heard from the millions of skeletons is the wind and the flames.

i know because i have seen it, years before the film came out.

I beleive everything is perfect in Heaven so there is no insanity, that Heaven has no time but one is not stuck there, that one may conjure loved ones but they may or may not be there as real.

You wont have the chance to complain cuz you won't get there as an Atheist, and people won't complain about being there. You might want to reconsider. The manager is the one who makes the rules, You'll never know what it's like in the spiritual condition you're currently in.

Yeah. So how's that sense of humour working for you.

But you're right. I should become a Muslim. I don't want eternal punishment.
