Well it seems the Obama doesn't think the Republican candidates can handle questions from hostile moderators
http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/02/politics/obama-republicans-cnbc/

But it seems that the Obama and the Democrat's candidates will not agree to a debate on Fox News or Fox Business networks. What's the problem Obama you Democrats afraid of real questions vice the fluff balls questions that your media flunkies serve up to you on gold plates?

Come-on take the challenge and face real questions; or are you afraid of the truth.

"So Mr President, how can the public trust Obamacare when it is clearly an attempt to kill everybody in America through the use of sinister death panels? Seeing as you are a foreign born Muslim, shouldn't we just see this as part of your stealth Jihad to put Abu Bakr al-Bagdhadi on the throne of Americaistan? And remember, if you deny it it's taqiyya."

When the Republicans agree to be questioned by Rachel Maddow is the time for the Democrats to agree to a Fox debate. Can you imagine it, 2-hours answering questions on rumours and untruths???

Madow would be tough, but far too fair-minded to really compare to a FOX mod.

Fluff ball questions? Were you watching a different CNN debate than I was?

You know what, Fox news should host a democratic debate. It would be interesting. MSNBC should also host a GOP debate.

It won't happen.
Each side does what benefits it.
For the Pubs, their large field of candidates makes a raucous debate appealing to candidates who each think they'll emerge on top.
As for the Dems.....,Hillary likely expects her party's nomination to be pre-ordained.
A bruising debate cannot help her, but Bernie has real potential to hurt her.

I don't see any real hypocrisy here....just striving for power.

interesting....maybe... but definitely not informative.
If someone doesn't ask them the hard questions how do we know we're not electing idiots?

I wouldn't assume that FOX would ask Democratic candidates hard questions. More likely, I think they would ask them misleading questions, along the lines of "When did you quit beating your wife."

You're right, though, someone needs to ask the candidates hard questions. I think CNN threw a couple hardballs, but not as many as I'd have liked to see.

The Republicans are being big babies about this, if you ask me.

"Waaaaah ... we can't handle difficult questions ... waaah .... if we don't get exactly what we want, we won't participate ... waaaaaah"

Maybe the moderators shouldn't be the ones asking the questions. The questions should come from the audience. I was watching a debate for the office of Prime minister in Britain on Youtube and they did it that way.

Even though I did not watch the last debate, the questions I saw covered on the news the next day I thought were all too often "loaded", although we've seen some of those same type of questions asked on the other debates for both sides. Even though CNBC is an affiliate of NBC, it has generally been regarded as being more conservative than the parent company, but that still does not give them a free-pass in my book.

Does anyone remember the Wallace interview of Obama on Fox? I remember one non-affiliated commentator say that he never has ever seen an interview of a sitting president whereas the moderator was so disrespectful. I saw that interview and totally agree, therefore, I would expect much the same if Fox moderated a Democratic debate.

Fox has a well-known Republican agenda-- CNBC doesn't have a Democratic agenda-- but still all too many of their questions were terribly insulting.

so it appears that I'm right Democrats are afraid of Fox. Seems Obama thinks Republicans can't handle left leaning media but come-on Democrats are you a bunch of wouses; Can't you handle a few questions by reporters? If you can't stand the heat don't go into the kitchen. Hey they are just reporters, not the leaders of Russia, China, Iran, Syria, or a host of other countries that disagree with the US. Of course if you did go on say Fox Business, you might have to answer the questions about how your going to pay for all of your give-away plans. Now Republicans, you have a debate on Nov 10, let's hear how your plans on the economy are going to work, some details now.. No more "I'm going to fix the economy, but you don't have to know how I'm going to do it; just trust me"...Gee where have I heard that "Just trust me" statement before? Oh I know, doesn't he reside in the White House.
