Homosexuality according to Judaism
'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Leviticus 20:13

Same Sex marriage in Christianity
“And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’“
Matthew 19:4 (NKJV)

“But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’”
Mark 10:6 (NKJV)

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, norsodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV)

Homosexuality in Islam
We also (sent) Lut: he said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? "For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." - Holy Quran 7:80-81

"Of all the creatures in the world will ye approach males". "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" - Holy Quran 26:165-166

Now i wonder why there are homosexual priests when bible is against homosexuality. Is there newer Testament where homosexuality is allowed?
If that is not the case, and christians allow homosexuality doesnt that mean they disagree with God and doesnt that contradict their own belief that the bible is the words of God???

Historically all the Semitic religions were very homophobic yes; but today that is not true of the vast majority of American Jews, for example, and many moderate and liberal Christians. They're not as beholden to faulty scriptures as Islam is.

Remember, not everyone accepts your interpretation of these texts, and not everyone accepts scriptural infallibility or inerrancy.

As i see it, its not really a choice.
Religion rejects free love on a technicality but in reality is really quite harmless.
If God was really so bothered saw it as a bug in the program as per say id a thought he would of patched it by now.
God could implement a patch and we wouldnt even know
What God saw was good, pleased him didnt want change anything. Given the abundance of obvious flaws sounds all a bit retarded imho

Very clear? Hardly. You can google the various s scholarly work and debates. Even Christians who believe in scriptural infallibility disagree.

Enlighten me how this verse is not clear lol

I will make it large for u.

There are idiomatic expressions lost to time, and there are also very different understandings of sexuality back then. If you want to understand the text, you need to think critically.
Thank you for the help gsaseeker, i appreciate that. But i want help from the pro-homosexuality christian camp. Unfortunately you dont fall in such category. When i need help from atheists, u will be the first i will ask that.

These ARE their arguments and you have apparently forgotten I'm an ex-Christian. But SF has alerted them, so they'll be in to explain shortly.

Unbelievable. So now you are saying we cant trust any bible verse because of translation?
Partially, yes.

See, what is translated as 'sodomy' in the Bible may not actually be refering to anal sex between men. Rather, what it's actually referring to may be a literal orgy involving multiple men & animals.

There is enough nastiness in the bible to show that the christian god is not ss they describe him/her/it. You know, omnipotent, benevolent etc?

The obvious conclusion is that there is no such god and the bible is the collection of campfire tales and political propaganda that it seems.
