Your username and Google Images

I happened upon an image that I'd posted here, and was confused. Long story short, I put my username for this forums into google's Google Image search and found a mass of images that are related to me (mostly from this forum but also elsewhere). I was wondering if other members have found or do find (after inputting their username into Google Image) the same thing. I've spent a fair amount of time looking at the ways google searches work, but not searches using Google Images, so it would help if others' experience were similar or dissimilar to what I just learned (and how so). Thanks.

I am easily able to find pictures i've posted on RF just by using the words I used to identify it in the post that contained it.

It's kinda weird to have first page results related to this username.

EDIT: However, just searching my username on google images brings up lots of pictures of Breadfish. So im safe on that front :D

Interesting. So google searches of your username bring up pictures and so forth related to your RF activity, but not so much a google image search? Very interesting. Thanks!

Peace be upon you.

Oh, no, let me clarify.

So, a regular Google search for Dreadfish gives me one RF result on the second page of results. Google still thinks I might mean Breadfish when I type my name in. Kinda surprisingly, there are a lot of other Dreadfish on the internet who are not me.

As far as images, no results just for Dreadfish, but I have found results using search terms that contain words I used in the post accompanying the picture I posted.

Ah. Thanks for clarifying. On a related note, I was for years able to remain anonymous and undiscoverable via google searches because my last name is a form of a verb (technically it's a participle or gerund). Alas, this is no longer true. But it is interesting (and central to my reasons for creating this thread) that the similarities between Breadfish and Dreadfish is enough to protect your anonymity.

As a further note, as I have looked more I have found some thumbnail images further down the list of results for Dreadfish.

If I google my user name, it returns many of the images I've posted or used as my profile picture here.

Yes, HonestJoe is a common enough term to give me plausible deniability for anything that might come up on a Google search. :D

I got some of those too. Other content from RF included album pictures and some pictures others posted in response to mine. Most of the images were from RF, but a fair number from elsewhere that related my username to my real name somehow.

I'm safe on this side. Google "infinitum" and neither the site results nor the images are in any way related to RF. Even "infinitum rf" isn't enough, nor is "infinitum religion". If you put "infinitum religious forums" you get my avatar as the first result, but curiously @lewisnotmiller shows up too. Is he Google stalking me?

No wait, @Iti oj is there as well. What is this, really?
