There was a sect of Judaism that believed in it...they're dead now though. Romans killed them all. Ironically the only group to survive the purge by the Romans were the Pharasees...the Sadducees who were built around temple worship died out after the temple was destroyed in 70 AD. [

I hate it when people speak on behalf of others they know practically zilch about.
Reincarnation and Jewish Tradition
Why can't we let the good people talk for themselves?
Read above.

I guess it doesn't necessarily make you Holy Men if you survive persecution....

I know I know, there are those who worship a dying and rising demigod.
No I don't mean the carpenter's son, he never came back, I am talking Horus.

You got defensive fairly quickly there. Did not the Essenes believe in some form of reincarnation? If I am wrong on that, my bad.

As for my Holy-Men Line...

We are talking jesus, did he believe in reincarnation?
The answer is YES

Please stick to topic

Jesus wasn't a Jew?

It's believed that the Essenes had a impact on Christianity, and there are some who believe that Jesus was an Essene though there isn't much support from that, at least from what I know.

Better?

Passive voice, try again please in active voice, preferably in topic.

Something like (or along the lines of) ,,
jesus was surprised when he asked:
Who do the people say I am?
The answer was:
Some say you are a person who died centuries ago, others said you are Elijah, etc. jesus said "excuse me, just a minute, you mean I am a reincarnation of a dead person or that Elijah's spirit took over my body?

If you read Mark 6:? , Herod is sure that jesus is John and says it: "this is john whom i beheaded" people didn't call hin wierdo or wacko, because everyone, every single one, jesus included believed in reincarnation.

Now, try again please.
