The flower of animalistic evolution is human mind which is capable of moral and reflective thinking. Such qualitative difference from his animal cousin enables a spirit of God to dwell within the material human mind. This indwelling pre-personal spirit and the faith of human mind co-create human soul which will survive the physical death. When a man becomes conscious of his own soul, he becomes a true unique conscious self.

My religion doesn't state directly that anything has a "soul". But if it exists, animals probably have it too. Maybe even plants and other living things as well.

Do you believe that animals have souls?
I don't believe, am sure that animals have soul, infact all living and non living creatures have soul.

My religion is reunion, it means re+union with from where we all started this journey of life in the beganing, or the nick name for this is God. :)

What? Me worry?
Eclectic. Absolutely not. Nor do they think, smile, love, talk or retain any other human characteristic. They are animate creatures of instinct, not intuition. Souls need intuition. And many of them are delicious.

I definitely agree with regards to all living creatures (including plants). Am less certain about non-living things, but I sometimes feel as if they do.

I am a spiritual being having a human experience, we and animals and everything for that matter are just pieces of the great spirit that transcends time and space. "Lift up a stone and I am there" says a master.

I'm an agnostic deist. I believe you have to have full self-awareness to be able to understand the difference between right and wrong; and that's required in order to have what might be called a soul.

Some animals have primitive self-awareness, dogs, elephants, dolphins, primates. Is there such a thing as a primitive soul? But no, cats don't have souls.:run:

Such as sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide for plants?

Carbs and protein for humans?

etc.

Few day before you started a thread
If everyone knew each other; I'm talking actually know them (e.g., practically knowing everything they've been through, their mindset, their actions per day, etc.) then everyone would understand why people do their actions. Everyone would see that everyone's actions are reasonable, they all have a reason. Therefore; if everyone knew each other's reasons, then nobody would hate anybody.
In which you said.. Everyone would see that everyone's actions are reasonable, they all have a reason, :) Yes.. they all have reason,Right.

But.. now once again concentrate on all this, and watch it again with question in mind.
Why can't they sit blank, or Why can't they/we all stay idle - doing nothing, or What forces them/us to never to sit idle ?

If you got what am saying to ask yourself, than you will get the residence of SOUL, If you didn't understood what am saying, than let me know, i'll try it again. :)

I am Christian with Buddhist tendencies. I don't think any animals have souls except humans. God breathed His spirit into us when He made Adam.

Yes. Homo sapiens are just another species in the kingdom Animalia. There may be more species or things which have a continuous essence than just animals as well.
