Okay....
On the one hand we are in a country of personal freedom....
which is disappearing day by day.
And pink hair is an issue?
Maybe in China?
Lol... there are a lot of things America has yet to progress to. Including the obvious fudged up economy.
It's an issue for Wallmart....& they are the employer who would hire this guy to work on their behalf. If he doesn't like their terms, then he can work elsewhere or
start his own business. Freedom also means not forcing people to tolerate any & every behavior/dress/tattoo/piercing/language that some worker might sport.
Were I you, I'd take a look at where freedom is most in danger. You'll find that government (especially the socialist ones) is a pretty bad actor...far worse than
us capitalist running dogs. You've never been subject to the military draft during wartime. You get no choice about that line of work, & you don't get to flaunt
pink hair, dress as you please, refuse to kill people, keep your own hours, etc. etc. You young whippersnappers think you have it so rough...there have been
far worse abridgements of liberty which we've finally jettisoned. But government is always tempted to bring them back. (Only recently, some Dems were
proposing bringing back the draft.....in the name of fairness of all things.)
Don't hold yer breath.
You have explained communism not socialism. I know the two are kind of similar.
"Right to Work" state means that your employer can fire and hire you for any given reason. If my boss doesn't like a woman with small boobs he can fire that woman and get away with it.
In capitalism, we have a monopolistic company that comes into small towns, lowering property value, shutting down small businesses that can't compete.
My walmart is too cheap to hire more cashiers so we have 6 lanes open half the time with 10 people in line, many of which go through the express line with more than 20 items.
Yet if a worker has a complaint nothing happens.
Sure they have the open door policy but who do you think will really listen to you? The man with your paycheck?
I have plenty of college education, funny thing is there are no jobs but walmart hiring. And trust me I am still looking.
I dyed my hair and cut it in compliance to the policy because "yes big brother I would love my pay check".
Don't talk about socialism until you understand the difference between communism and socialism.
Socialism under democratic ruling could actually help the families struggling to get by.
If you have ever used any government grants be it for school or food stamps, then you have taken part in Socialism.
I am just saying that pink hair should be somewhat "conservative" by now. Its already 2011... so idk, im looking forward to a new future. I guess that makes me a liberal right? Since I dont want to be stuck with laws and policies from the 1800s.
What is highly ironic is that the declaration of independence, the constitution/bill of rights are all "liberal" documents.
Just saying.
(There is a woman with tattoos all up her neck and face and arms. Shes allowed to be a cashier and wear short sleeves, which used to be against company policy. I didn't think that changed. But that lady is my friend so I wont bring it up at work.)
