Christianity imposed on thousands - with no escape possible - and the reaction of those subjected

I'm not the one complaining about Xmas music, so your histrionics are a little misplaced.

I did though. I liked it until I worked in retail and was subjected to it constantly for 2 months. Though I am sure almost any music would do that to you.

Done here.
Pete sees the OP from the perspective of an oppressed minority.....er, majority.
Anybody who says Christians are persecuted in the United States is either a liar or a fool, if not both. It's remarkable how being only three-quarters of the population drives them to such heights of alarm and self-pity.

Would you have put an end to the Christmas music if you could have done so?

I would have liked to have had the choice not to play it in my place of work because it annoyed me.

And before you go on about a "war on Christmas" if you had done the same thing with almost any other music I would feel the exact same way about it.

Either. Both.

Personally I wouldn't want to do either, but I can understand getting sick of Christmas music when you hear it at work 5 days a week 8 hours a day for 6 weeks or more, and just wanting to be free of it when at work.

Do you really think there are people on here who would want to get rid of Christmas music altogether?

When I worked in retail, I usually had control of the CD player in the music and video department. I'm pretty sure that saved my sanity.

A revolting ode to oppression & persecution

Some Xtians are so very glum,
beneath an atheistic thumb.
Tis even though
they run the show.
Such is the way of martyrdom.

I have to assume you're serious. What would make you think anyone here wants to get rid of Christmas music (as in not have such a thing, rather than just stop having it played everywhere all the time)?

Not just Christmas music, but everything else associated with Christmas, including the Christmas Spirit. If it reminds them of how miserable they are during the holidays, it really seems to cause pain.

I'm not sure you're taking the time to comprehend. My last question was not yes-or-no. I asked what makes you think there are people here who want to do away with Christmas music (and Christmas itself, I guess). Do you have a reason for believing that?

I am okay with this. Especially since I do not get miserable during the holidays; except Halloween, for some reason.

Not really. I don't like being told what to buy. I assume you would be the same way.
I don't mind being told what to buy....I just disobey.
Tis the expectations & rituals of gift giving which I don't understand, fail at, & utterly detest.
