On and on... does this guy never quit, lol

The next entry from Kungfusled was a good stab, but alas he must have been peering to close to my inner vid cam.
If it's a sharp and clear image it must be made of glass. I'd say it's a window.
Then poor Comprehend began to go into meltdown, lol. I didn't realize that some would be so interested, lol.
lightning
No lightning, but it is pretty flashy, nonetheless.

Then our second Muslim RFer chimed in with:
The first thing that came to my mind was "Lion", but we have not all seen a lion, at least not in real life.

Second thing that came to mind was "Hatchet".
I was instantly struck by how odd is it that two Muslims would pick an animal. Fascinating to someone who does not believe in coincidence. I admit the thought of a Muslim wielding a hatchet was pretty symbolic, lol. (Just kidding.)

Nuttyshell then took the challenge with:
This may seem categorically wrong to many, but it is actually rather good if you see the Christ from my perspective. My first glimpse of the Christ was like a morning sunrise. So, good try... plus the "sunrise" wasn't really the sun and it is meant metaphorically for the dawning of the Clear Light.

The usually very perceptive Hema zoned out on this one to a degree.
Eyeball?

Sandwich?
I read this and giggled, but the all seeing eye is not bad. What do you think Heather? I must admit that seeing "eyeball" and "sandwhich" did give my tummy a bit of a tumble. *makes note to examime any treats offered by Hema if we ever get together for tea and "biscuits". :D

Dopp took another swing and struck out with:

I bet it's "mushroom."
Umm... not a mushy... no, not even any of the pretty red ones with white globs on top... or the pretty purple bellcaps. I digress... not that I know what either of those two mushrooms are of course.

*Time to hit the gardens ... yet again...*

Love the eye image. I think it fits. Of course, I think all of the answers fit since there truly is no "right" or "wrong" answers......just varying perspectives. Obviously, this is true when approaching thought transference exercises with sincerity.

I do remember doing this some years back with a friend of mine, and the image I received was so spot on that it seemed unreal. He had written/drawn it down in a notebook, and without looking at it first, and without any hints at all, I was able to describe exactly the image........color, shape, and even the wording: I spoke the phrase that he had written down in the notebook, too, word by word. And it was a phrase that I had never heard before.

I didn't believe what I had seen since it was so specific, but I thought, "What the heck?" and said it anyway. When I saw what was in the notebook, I was floored.

I can see now how I perhaps saw a bit of the sunrise in my prism image. But, I'm not sure if I saw physically (if that makes sense) the coloring or the form, but more of the essence. It would be fabulous if you could draw the image you created and present it for us here. :)

Peace,

Sorry, sweet thang, 'tis not a sentient being of any sort. Does a pony have any significance to you or are you a small "d" Democrat. :)

Being a short person, who has been called a horse whisperer, I naturally have an affinity towards short horses.

Not to mention ponys are adorable.

I guess the Muslims here are just animal lovers, LOL. Would it make it any better to say it was a light brown/yellow pony as all ponies should be buckskins?

(I personally think the horse whisperer thing is a little silly, I just treat horses with respect that they deserve being intelligent and sentient creatures, and bothered myself to learn and use equine body language- thus horses give me the same respect back and treat me as someone who knows what they are doing. I could go into herd dynamics and horse "culture" but if you set yourself up as someone who earns respect, not forces it, and you ask a horse to do something, not beat it into submission, the horse will naturally want to follow you. It's not hard t'all to do, and the same works with dogs, humans, anything with a few brain cells to rub together... That's why the horse I trust the most is my American Wild Mustang, Chock, who used to live feral in the mountains of Nevada for two years before I adopted her. You asked for the significance, and I have answered. :D)

Hehe. That is very perceptive of you. To me, it would seem to be a natural way to "train" animals. Imho, it is more akin to training oneself on how to be around animals. I am currently working on befriending a pack of wild deer that frequent the "neighbourhood". So far, I have gotten up to 3 feel away before they got spooked. (Why is it I never have a camera out when they are that close, lol?)

ButteryCups: At first I just laughed at you mentioning a gleaming disco ball... but then I thought of the sun and thought... "Hmmm. She is getting "something" that is for sure. All in all, I thought it was a great answer once I digested it. In my imagination the sun is almost glittering, so your disco ball is quite appropriate.
The reason I described disco ball was because I definitely saw something circular, crystalized and moving. The first word that came to mind to describe what I saw was....disco ball. There was no color except the nuances between the sun hitting crystal, tiny gleaming specks of light yellow & white. There was movement.

I can't say what I saw resembled a sunrise but the similarities between the two were: bright light, movement and slight differing shades of color.

That was fun.....let's do it again! :monkey:

Funny the first thing that popped into my head was a lighthouse of all things. A large stalwart building with the light on. It stood upon a precipice and in the distance one could see other lighthouses, none of which had the lights on. It overlooked a vast ocean upon which no ships were present and was exceptionally calm..... but the lighthouse went about with its lights, calling in any fortunate enough to see it.

Or that could be me projecting what sounds like the makings of a very good proglogue to a book I might actually write........ who knows.
This was actually one of my favorites. It contains all the right elements and the image described is very strong. Had Robert not came out with the answer, this would have been my first choice. Honest. Way to go your Veilledness.

Though incorrect, I was impressed by how many saw a lightbulb. Most impressive.
I thought of a light bulb, but then it turned into a brain.

I saw something sharp, but it was pointy/jagged/edgy things kind of like a star in shape. It was colorful, but too faint to tell what I was picturing.
Of course, I'm expecting that my answer is completely wrong...
Little did Cynic realize how close he was. Almost spot on, really. I wonder what he thinks of the psychological implications of this test?

With deer (and other large prey animals) as long as you don't display any sort of "predatory" body language and be patient, you can get right next to them and pet them... sort of how lions can walk right by antelope or zebra as long as they aren't showing any hunting behaviour. When I was a kid I was playing in the woods of our farm, I got a foot away from a deer before it walked off.

Of course, that's not something you'd ever want to do during rutting season...

Greetings. Interesting experiment. I do believe the 'thought transference' for me involved the clues heavily, even as bleak as they were. My answers came to me sort of as intuitive conclusions with an associated image. 'Sunrise' was interesting in that there was an associated feeling of 'gelling' with the OP. I will admit, however, for that post I had just read the post of Hema, gotten her image of sunset, and realized that what she and I saw was really sunrise. ;)

Hehe. Well, I didn't want people to read the thinking of others prior to writing their response, then things got carried away. It's all good though.

methylatedghosts

Can't brain. Has dumb.
Heh I see lots of people got VERY close.

Could I provide the image this time Ymir?

I want to see how good I am at sending it out :D

EDIT: I have an image and I need someone I can PM the answer to so that I'm not cheating :p

Its a hamster shape

EDIT: oh crap I posted after only reading the first page, Idunno if this has been said before or if this thread is even active anymore :D
Didn't see twelve pages.

EDITEDIT: Let meexplain. Oh and myspace bar is being extremely odd tonight, so there may be quitea few errors.

1) Hamsters are not silly, unless someone interprets them to be as such. I do not.
2) We have all seen an image of a hamster, because you put one in your post and as such can guarantee that we have seen one, unless we're blind.
3) Hamsters aren't sexual
4) Ham-ster

I have graduated this image to that of an idea shape and imbued it with a bit more energy for pizzazz.

A digital image has more energy than a thought.

YmirGF I don't want to spoil your fun, but I don't think this is very significant. Out of over 100 posts and probably at least 30 people guessing, only one or two people got it right. Furthermore there were plenty of clues, and as soon as someone got close you indicated that they were close! :D

And finally, it seems the Sun, a person, a tree, a mountain, and a house and possibly an airplane are the most basic, common images or shapes that people think of, indeed this is what we all draw as children. This was basically how Uri Geller's trick worked (you can ffw to 1:00 minutes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuaJWLeSmEc

Oh good grief, Mr Spinkles, at least be honest. The only point in your months late posts is to detract from some 12 fairly interesting pages. Start your own thread.

Well, my months late post hasn't been debunked yet O.-

I demand that there be an alternative answer: Hamster.
