Why Are Christians Slaughtered Around The World

It seems that there has always been alot of attack on Christians and the whole Christian theme, be it doctrine, churches, bibles, Christmas , missions work,anything associated with Christianity
When I say, "Christian" ,I don't mean the religious people throughout the years associated by mainstream denominations ,culture or tradition, I mean those who have been spiritually born again and have been tranformed by the power of the Holy Spirit

Anyone without the spirit is not his,are not christians, they are not part of God's family, that is another thread " Who Really Is A Christian"

Not only that, but the Christian cliché's used as derogatory profane innuendo'sthat people use on daily basis are a complete disrespect and disservice ,not to mention blasphemy against God but are also a subtle attck on Jesus Christ and his church[

Why is there such an attack on christians worldwide?, I just heard a report which I hear regularly of Christians being murdered and attacked, this one particular was some radical hindu mobs burning down 15 christian churches ,it seems the threat of christmas decorations have outraged these hindu people ???????


Why is true Christianity such a threat to people worldwide, even in North America and so many religions also feel threatened by Christianity.I mean it's been this way ever since Christianity's conception.
Most, if not all oversea missionary endeavor's are based from a christian biblical basis, with solid born again christians are heading up so many humanitarin work.
Teaching,building,feeding,orphanages etc.etc,how can that be so wrong to warrant violence

Are you talking about simple disagreement? If so, I'm not sure why there'd be a problem with it: we're each entitled to our own opinion.

What attacks are you talking about? I do hear of Christian aid groups in war-torn areas being attacked occasionally, but no more than secular aid groups.

I abhor violence against Christians (as I do against any religious group). I do personally find the practice of some Christian groups to tie aid to conversion and evangelization to be very distasteful and inappropriate, though. How would you feel if you were suffering from a famine, but the people who had food to give you expected you to pray facing Mecca five times a day in exchange for it?

Jesus said the world would hate us. That simple. Not too hard to figure out, and nothing we should be surprised about.

Also????....Why do babies die of dehydration????...Why do innocent children that are say??? 9 months old die of hunger??? Why do people get cancer?? Why did my father die when he was 28 in a plane crash when I was 4 years old???...Why did someone chop off Adam Walsh's head for pleasure?? Why did my friend die at 22 of an asthma attack?Why did they saw Daniel Pearl's head off and broadcast it on the internet???Why did the Sunami wave kill 300,000 people?????(many many children)....Why are entire generations beign wiped out because of A.I.D.S in Africa???..Why are children born blind,or with defective hearts,or brain disorders???Why did Amber Haggerman get abducted out of her own front yard and murdered???Why did Hitler murder millions and millions of Jews...men, women ,and chidren???..Why are people suffering every day???
Why do people die needlessly because they have no health insurance or money???

That's probably not true at the moment, but persecution of Christians is widespread and is carried out mostly by Muslims and Communists. In India, one of the few exceptions, persecution of Christians is carried out in reaction to missionary activity.

As long as humans exist there will always be a minimum of one persecuting another for some reason. Christians have persecuted and been persecuted. Jews have persecuted and been persecuted. Muslims have persecuted and been persecuted, and the list goes on and on. Discrimination still exists today between Christians and Pagans, among others. They sometimes feel they must practice in secret and keep their beliefs to themselves. I have not heard of any off hand, but I am sure there have been accounts where Pagans have felt unsafe practicing otherwise. Every faith has bad people in it that hide behind the doctrine and twist it to fit their own agenda.

Just as the media pay scant attention to the thousands of people who starve to death every day. Neither starvation nor religious intolerance is news.

I wonder whether the Christians who are so upset when Christians are the victims of religious intolerance get quite so concerned when others are the victims of Christian intolerance and violence. When our Christian president, who talks to God daily, invaded Baghdad with the support of the Christian Right, what was that but Christian violence? When Christians campaign to make sure that LGBTs don't have equal rights in the United States, what is that but persecution by Christians?

I feel sorry for the Christians who suffer in other lands, but don't expect me to pat any American Christians on the back because of it; they're just as bad as the people who persecute Christians elsewhere.

When I go to "prisoner list", I see the following at the bottom of the page:

That's a total of 18 prisoners. While this is tragic and, IMO, unacceptable, contrast this with the most recent International Federation of Journalists Report on Journalists and Media Staff Killed (warning - large file - 2.8 MB): last year, 155 journalists were killed outright worldwide. How many Christians were killed last year for being Christian? Do you really think it was more than the number of journalists who were killed for being journalists?

Even if you just look at China, contrast the eight people who are imprisoned because of their Christian beliefs with Chinese treatment of Falun Gong, as summarized in a US Govt. Congressional Report:

Estimates of those who have spent time in detention or “labor reeducation” range from 10,000 to 100,000 persons. According to estimates by the State Department and human rights organization, since 1999, from several hundred to a few thousand FLG adherents have died in custody from torture, abuse, and neglect.

I'd say that it's quite likely that a single bad day in India would account for more Muslim, Hindu or Sikh suffering than would happen worldwide to all Christians in an entire year. I think persecution of any group of believers is bad, but I don't see Christianity as somehow more likely to be victimized or suffering greater than other religious groups.

i do think she meant thousands including and not limited to being killed and persecuted and probably discriminated agianst very day i saw a commercial on tv that said a female is sexually assaulted on an average of like 2 1/2 mins every day. Thats pretty nuts.... but I think it was true.

I do...Its embarrasing...I dont want to be "lumped in"....It makes me SICK to see Christians go "whahhh it was foretold we would have to fight the lion and be persecuted"...While they are SO unloving and intolerant of many many...Includign amongst themselves...I hae been treated "worse" by my own than many many others...Having said that I have been blessed and met a few saints in my circle...But Im telling you ...Christians will eat their own...And then all they have to do is say its "love"(you are declared an unbeliever and its for your own good)...I say "they" because I decided Im not a Pharasee...Im a follower of Christ...And as a friend so delicately put it...Christ Himself would be at risk amongst some of His believers if he were here today...

Females being sexually assualted has nothing to do with Christianity..All females are at risk for that...And yes I believe those statisics world wide are true...But all the female victims of sexual assault are not Christian..so ....its apples and oranges...

I don't really like that article, but I can't find any statistics at all on any religious persecution. Oh well, I will leave this one to the smarter people... climb up my tree to my perch and just watch the debate

I'll look for it...But while I do ??? I 'll look for killings or persecutions of all religious groups for comparison....

Im talking about PEOPLE who are executed for their religious beliefs...Not raped becuase they are a woman that happens to be Christian..or a man that is executed for a crime other than reilgious afilliation..

Honestly??? I beieve the risk is more (as far as danger) is that you are an AMERICAN..... Some people of religions races(in other COUNTRIES) and so on can not STAND Americans..HECK even the French think we are barbaric...

Even 9-11 In N.Y.C?? That was not an attack on Christianity...That was hatred towards Americans...GRANT it our country is founded in Christain beliefs...BUT the people who died that day were not targeted because they were Christians...They were targeted because we are the dominant country...We are strong and we in fact are diverse...No matter what God you believe in or even if you dont have one at all you have freedom...And we are strong...We are a super power...Many ,many are jealous and would do us harm....Just becuase we were born here or imigrate here...
