At times I've been a checker (the one who reviews drawings to ensure no errors & that standards are met).
A "chicken **** (mod edit) checker" is one who obsesses over meaningless details, eg, penmanship, line width.
One day, a draftsman tossed some candy corn on my table.
A good laugh was had by all.

So....what traditions have you enjoyed?

We once, as software development team, had a "Shrine to the Eternal Bug". There was a collection of "holy" objects on a table. You put your buggy code on that table and performed the appropriate ritual and the bugs would vanish. Lack of faith and lack of appeasing "Murphy" would of course result in the incantation not working. And Murphy was hard to appease because of the law that anything which can go wrong will go wrong.
