Seems to me that God never said thou shall dress up in gang colours , distinct uniforms that represent your beliefs .
Until you all accept that we are all the same and not worry about the subjectiveness of what you wear , you will always be at war with beliefs .
Very well said!Yo, the Gods tell us to dress a certain way, but not to tell others how they should dress.
And uniforms are a good way to show hierarchy within an organization. So a Father's Collar, or the Pope's hat, give you an idea of where they are within the church and what services they may provide.
Likening that to "gang colors" is disingenuous.
It may be wondered why the words "Sufi", which means "woollen-clothed" and "Tasawwuf" which means "the path of the Sufis," i.e., the woollen-clothedSeems to me that God never said thou shall dress up in gang colours , distinct uniforms that represent your beliefs .

Hello ma dear , forgive my formal manner . My doctor prescribes medication it does not mean I have to consume the medication .
Sometimes microwave food varies in cooking time from what it says on the packet .
I imagine you are pretty smart and get the point , in socialising with different stereotypes a uniform is a sign of wanting to be different .
Dont you think you should take your own advice?
I see a great deal of hierarchy in the Abrahamic religions. Many religious believe that no one is more special than anyone else. By everyone dressing the same, everyone seems uniform and equal.
Don't you think in a modern society that the costumes look quite silly and outdated ?Some uniforms denote rank in a church. Others serve a function. For example, the flying nun's habit keeps her aloft (by the force of habit, of course).
In case of Hinduism and Buddhism, the color selected was the one which hides dirt, because the monks may not be able to wash it with soap every day (natural surfactants used at that time - Reetha, seeds of Sapindus mukorossi). So, it was shades of ochre (Bhagwa).Seems to me that God never said thou shall dress up in gang colours , distinct uniforms that represent your beliefs.

The Torah prescribes certain clothing requirements. I'm sure other texts do too.
In fairness, religions are just gangs trying to outdo each other with silly hats contest.
(Please note this post is in jest.)
They just want to be noticed. They would have otherwise no-chance to be noticed just because of what they say only. Obviously. You need to add appearance and colour, when you have otherwise nothing with any rational contents to say.Seems to me that God never said thou shall dress up in gang colours , distinct uniforms that represent your beliefs .

There are uniforms for a great many things in life. Wearing a uniform means that, for the time being, you are less an individual and more part of a team, set aside for a certain purpose. It's why waitresses wear set clothing. It's why soldiers wear set clothing. And its why i.e. Catholic priests where set clothing.Seems to me that God never said thou shall dress up in gang colours , distinct uniforms that represent your beliefs .

You think this is mockery ? Define group stereotypes ?There are uniforms for a great many things in life. There is nothing at all about the wearing of uniforms that makes it analogous to gang colors. Your mockery simply doesn't make sense.
