    JoshuaTree,
Let me go back a little time, to the death of Jesus, which was 50 days before the Day of Pentecost 33CE, that is described starting with the second chapter of Acts. To understand exactly what is going on here you must read the Second through the forth chapters of Acts. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit was poured out on people from many nations, but only on the ones who accepted the teachings of the Apostles. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit was not poured on any of the Jews u less they became part of the ones who followed Jesus and the Apostles, Acts 4:10-13. This group who were baptized on Pentecost 33CE became the start of Christianity, and all who joined them, were baptized and became followers of Jesus Christ. It was in Antioch that they First were called Christians. There is some discussion as to why and who it was that named them. If you research Antioch you will see that the people of Antioch were famous for naming groups, so it was probably them, but the followers of Jesus must have liked the name, for that is exactly who they were. Some say the name was meant to be derogatory, by the Antiochians, because the Christians were following a man that was killed, but the Christians knew that Jesus was alive, resurrected by God, Jesus’ Father.
A few months later Paul became the greatest teacher of Christianity, ever. Jesus could not preach Christianity, because Jesus was born a Jew and was under the. Mosaic Law Covenant, which forbade teaching anything but The Mosaic Law Covenant, under penalty of death, Galatians 4:4, Deuteronomy chapter 13.

Interesting. Jesus was forbidden by mosaic law to preach Christianity, so he spoke in parables right? I've never considered this point before, thank you for sharing that.

Revelation 17:18 lets us know the woman is that great city that reigns over the kings of the earth. At the time John wrote this, Rome was ruling over the kings of the earth. Rome is even called the city of seven hills.

The seven kings mentioned were the first seven Emperors. At the time John wrote this, Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero have fallen, or in other words have died. Vespasian was Emperor at the time John wrote this, and is the one who is. The other who had not yet come would be Titus, and would only reign for about two years.

The eighth king is Domitian. He is of the seven, because Vespasian was his father, and Titus was his brother.

Domitian was earlier hailed as Emperor, and history says he even rode on the white horse of the Emperor, before his father Vespasian arrived and actually became the next Emperor. So he was, and yet he was not Emperor at the time John wrote this, and yet he would be Emperor in the future.

The 7 kings are the all time 7 world powers. 4 listed in Daniel, 5)the roman empire-6) the british empire, 7) the two horned beast of Rev 13( now in place) All 4 given the mark of a beast in Daniel. The 7 headed beast, with 10 horns( a horn = a kingdom)

Am I understanding you correctly, that you are saying the 5th is the Roman Empire? If so, then how were 5 fallen at the time John wrote this? The Roman Empire was still in power.

Also please clarify what the two horned beast is, that you say is in place now.

A horn = a kingdom-- a 2 horned beast = 2 kingdoms working together to excercise all authority( resolutions) of the 7 headed beast with 10 horns. Rev 13)

Can you give the Chapter and Verses in Revelation where it's written that The seven kings mentioned were the first seven Emperors.
Where exactly is this written at in Revelation the seven kings were the first seven Emperor's.
I find no where in Revelation where this is written at.

No offense meant, but you have to be able to use time frames, reason, common sense, and history also in order to understand prophecy. (I also happen to believe you need to ask God for understanding.) When John wrote this, he said five are fallen and one is. Five were dead. The time frame indicates what Empire was ruling when John wrote this and history gives many answers.

If you think it tells in Revelation who they are, please let us know where, and what you believe the answer is. The answer I gave is reasonable, makes sense, fits the time frame, and is backed up by history.

As further proof, I offer the following from Revelation 12:3-5

In verse 3, notice the crowns are on the heads - indicating the heads are ruling at this time. (so let's see what is happening at this time)

In verse 4, The dragon (Revelation 20:2 says the dragon is Satan/the devil) is waiting to devour the woman's child as soon as it is born. (The dragon/devil through Herod kills many children in an attempt to kill the Messiah he had heard was born)

In verse 5, The woman gives birth to a son, a male child who will rule all the nations with a rod of iron. (Revelation 19:11-16 lets us know it is the Messiah that will rule the nations with a rod of iron.)

In verse 5, The child is caught up and takes his throne. (After his resurrection the Messiah ascended and took the throne.)

The Messiah was born, and died, during the time the Emperors were ruling the Roman Empire. So I ask you who was wearing the crowns, when these things were happening, if not the Roman Emperors? (Therefore the heads represent the Emperors)

Well your not using common sense.

You said-->( If you think it tells in Revelation who they are, please let us know where, and what you believe the answer is. The answer I gave is reasonable, makes sense, fits the time frame, and is backed up by history)

The answer you gave is false, Your answer doesn't even come close to what God given in Revelation who those seven kings are.
Don't you think that your answer should line up to what God gave who those seven kings are in Revelation. But your answer doesn't even come close to what God gave who those seven kings are in Revelation.

You said --->( In verse 3, notice the crowns are on the heads - indicating the heads are ruling at this time. (so let's see what is happening at this time)

No Let's see what God said who those seven heads are that's wearing those crowns.
You seem for some unknown reason, that you know more than God knows who those seven kings are. God foretold in Revelation who those seven kings are in Revelation.

You said--->( No offense meant, but you have to be able to use time frames, reason, common sense, and history also in order to understand prophecy)

Well first you have to use common sense in knowing that time frames, reason and history has no place in Revelation.
God already foretold in the book of Revelation who those seven kings are.
But for some reason your having a hard time in grasping that God already foretold in Revelation who those seven kings are in Revelation.

Maybe if spent more time in listening to God, As you do listening to man's teachings. You just might find out things in the book of Revelation. Seeing that God already foretold who those seven kings are in Revelation.

There's no where in the book of Revelation, that's written that those seven kings representing Emperor's of Roman.
exactly what chapter and verses does this say this in Revelation.

Your saying things that are not even found in Revelation. So where are you getting these things from.

So you think the time frames, reason, and history have no place in Revelation? Your response is ridiculous, and you gave no answers.

That's absolutely positively right. Seeing that Christ Jesus already foretold in the book of Revelation who the 7 kings are and who the
    8th king is, in Revelation.
It's all there as Christ Jesus given them to be in Revelation.
So your time frames and history have no place in the book of Revelation, Seeing how Christ Jesus already foretold who they all are, in the book of Revelation.

But for some reason, you think you know more than Christ Jesus himself knows about his book of Revelation.
Which is ridiculous, for you to even think you know more about the book of Revelation than Christ Jesus himself knows about his book of Revelation, is ridiculous.

Revelation is more about the occurences in these last days. So yes 5 has fallen. 6 still lives within the two horned beast.

Revelation is about during the Tribulation, When those 7 kings and the 8th king comes to be here on Earth.

The tribulation occurs right before Harmageddon--There are many occurrences to take place in revelation prior to those 2 events. Rev 13 has been occurring for years. All are being lead to this( rev 16) right now. First Babylon the great must fall.

Ho really so according to you, Rev13 has been occurring for years, so that means the beast that comes up out of the earth in Verse 11, is taking years to come up out of the earth. Now that's Amazing.

The Tribulation is what brings about
    Armageddon.
Which the false prophet brings all the people together to fight against God at Armageddon. At this time Christ Jesus shows up and destorys them all.

Revelation 13 is what brings about the tribulation.
Have you any idea as to what Babylon is

It's ridiculous for you to even think that is a reasonable post. And once again, no actual answers.
