The longer a person associates with Jehovahs Witnesses, the more he learns about God and His will as revealed in the Bible.
And so Jesus went on to say to the Jews that had believed him: "If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, 32 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free
John 8;32
You say the longer a person associates with Jehovah Witnesses, the more he learns about God and his will as revealed in the Bible. Why not just stick with the Bible? Here is something your Watchtower said in Sept. 15, 1910, page 298, Charles Russel said this: "If the six volumes of 'Scripture Studies' are practically the Bible, topically arranged with Bible proof texts given, we might not improperly name the volumes 'The Bible in an Arranged Form'. That is to say, they are not mere comments on the Bible, but they are practically the Bible itself. Furthermore, not only do we find that people cannot see the divine plan in studying the Bible by intself, but we see, also, that if anyone lays the 'Scripture Studies' aside, even after he has used them...and goes to the BIBLE alone, thouh he has understood his Bible for ten years, our experience shows that within two years, he goes into darkness. On the other hand, if he had merely read the 'Scripture Studies' with their references and had not read a page of the Bible as such, he would be in the light at the end of two years, because he would have the light of the Scriptures.
Do you find anything disturbing about Russel's statement here??? He is putting 'Scripure Studies' on a higher level than the Bible, even saying if you only read the Bible you will go into darkness!!! AND, if you ONLY read 'Scripture Studies' without the Bible, you will be in the light!!! THAT, my friend is false teaching, and heresy. That is putting another book as higher authority than the Bible, and it is them twisting it to form their false doctrines, whereas if one studies the BIble alone, which contains the true, unperverted word of God, you WILL find the LIGHT, which is Jesus Christ. No, my friend, you are misled if you follow Russell's instructions to not read the Bible and read only 'Scripture Studies'.
