    Not Leviticus I'll bet.
I like Exodus but of course Isaiah is so important too.

In Judaism and Noahidism we call it Tanach. My favourite book is Genesis, though I also really love all of the Prophets so much I couldn't choose just one.

Since they all have a unique part in the whole its difficult to choose just one. But as far as the importance of a book I would say it is Exodus, all others are rooted in it, including the NT.

I believe it would be Isaiah. I like the way he writes and what he writes.

Hmmm, Job and Isaiah would have to be my absolute favourites. Oh and the Psalms.

I can't pick just one, please let me mention 3:

    Psalms for the poetry
    Proverbs for the wisdom
    Daniel for the prophecies

It's a toss up between Hebrews and Galatians. Hebrews because it gave me more a concrete understanding of what these christians mean by faith. Galatians because that's how I went into the Church is because of the Galatians verse I saw downtown from me. After coming from work, in the DC area there are a lot of homeless. One guy was holding a cardboard sign and instead of saying "spare change" and things I'm accustomed to seeing, he wrote:

"I have been crucified in Christ. I no longer live, I. but for the son of god, who loved me and gave himself up for me." Galatians 2:20

My whole time hearing people say "christ died for me" according to this verse, I translated it as "I died in christ." So christ couldn't have done anything for me over 2,000 years ago unless I place myself in a sacrifice to god by giving myself up in his passion which had then became mine as well (aka: take up your cross).

Outside of that, Ess, was mentioned. Proverbs.

The beginning of Genesis was good. Near end it bothered me. Leviticus and part of exodus was a struggle. I got up to Joshua. Never finished it. If I read Joshua to the beginning of the New, I would have read the whole bible twice.

These are Christian books, not 'OT' ones.

Shrugs. I did say the beginning of Genesis. Anything that's not NT, I consider OT. That's how it's separated in the bible. If you're talking about the Torah, then that's more specific.

    Okay.....I'm thinking Gospels.

Genesis, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes are not NT. The point isn't to correct me. I have more than one favorite "book" in the bible.
