I have had the opportunity to participate in a lot of college level studio arts courses, discussions, and critiques; and nothing makes me love humanity more than seeing what people do when they're given some tools, some materials, and told they can do whatever they want, however they want, for whatever reason they want, with them.

I've seen people that had a variety other people all hanging around them, just to be in their presence, yet I could rarely pinpoint the reason. Looks, sense of humour, nice smell, or some other reason.
I remember a colleague asking me why, (regarding another person) too. I had no answer.
