What is God’s Kingdom?

Millions of people repeat a prayer “Thy kingdom come”
Jesus told his followers to pray for God’s Kingdom.
At first, Jesus’ followers did not understand everything he said about the Kingdom. They once asked him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” They were probably surprised when Jesus did not give them a direct answer. (Acts 1:6, 7)

I believe God's Kingdom is his rule over creation:

So "thy kingdom come" means "allow your rule to extend over us, who you have created"

From a thread about salvation:

Now my personal take. I don't believe in original sin. Living beings died and hunted each other before humans walked the earth. It's a natural thing and nature is meant to evolve and become more and more filled with spirit. Humanity has a purpose to overgrow animalistic tendencies and bring in the next step - love, peace, bliss, knowing Truth, human virtues... (spiritual awakening). This can only be realized in free will. This potential also entails the potential to diverge away from purpose (sin originally meant to miss the mark) and do terrible things...

When critical mass of spiritual awakening will be reached (possibly in a cataclysm because of violent resistant force) a new global spiritually enlightened culture will emerge. I think this will be what Jewish prophets called "the Kingdom of God". Sprouts of it are already growing. When the time is ripe there will be a harvest ("judgement"). The gates will close for some. Some will make it (be saved) some will be moved to an other place to continue the path.

Jesus preached repentence - preparing for the Kingdom. He set/corrected the course like John the Baptist and prophets before him (and various other saints and sages across the world). As a realized being he didn't just show the way but also manifested it.

Jesus' vision of the Reign of God one of destruction or of transformation?

In contrast to the more popular interpretations of his day, Jesus does not identify the coming of the kingdom with apocalyptic destruction, scribal legalism, secterian withdrawal from society, nor revolutionary uprising. Rather, through his words and actions, Jesus preaches a message of God's coming reign which is to be marked by personal, social and even cosmic transformation. However, for Jesus, the kingdom is not just a future reality. It is also 'at hand' in the here-and-now because God's compassion and mercy are available to all people at all times. This is the message in many of Jesus' parables and is proclaimed in his radical sayings and healing ministry. This coming/already-present reign of God is especially symbolized in the table-fellowship that Jesus establishes with all types of people including the marginalized and outcasts of society.
It is highly probable that Jesus understood himself as the eschatological prophet whose mission was to inaugurate the 'last days' of 'God's reign'. However, Jesus did not understand the reign of God in either narrow political terms (establishing a new political regime) or in traditional apocalyptic ways (the literal destruction of the universe). As we have seen, for Jesus the reign of God was linked to a new experience of the divine presence, something to be experienced in the here and now and yet whose final fulfillment was yet to occur. On the basis of the gospel portraits of Jesus, we can say that his understanding of the reign of God was both mystical--a new experience of God's presence in the here-and-now--and prophetic--the call to his followers to a personal and social change of heart.

"Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven"
suggests to me that the Kingdom of God is some sort of actualization of higher spiritual dominion among the people of the Earth, where the will of the people is in alignment with the divine will or where the divine purpose is actualized on Earth.

Mark.1[15] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel."

Luke.6[20] And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke.10[9] heal the sick in it and say to them, `The kingdom of God has come near to you.'

Luke.11[20] But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Matt.3[2] "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." ...

Sometimes Jesus qualifies this when he said "kingdom of heaven", thus the part not on Earth.

God has set up a Kingdom, or government, that will replace all human rule, and “it alone will stand forever.” (Daniel 2:44) This is the Kingdom for which millions have been praying. (Matthew 6:9, 10) But God will not rule this government himself. Instead, he has appointed someone who lived as a human to be the Ruler. Whom has God chosen?

Some of Jesus’ faithful followers wanted to know when God’s Kingdom would begin ruling. Jesus answered their question by saying that they would not know exactly when it would rule over the earth. (Acts 1:6, 7) But, earlier, he had told them that when his followers saw a certain group of events happening all at once, they would “know that the Kingdom of God [was] near” and that the time for it to rule the world had come.—Luke 21:31
The sign that Jesus gave, along with Bible chronology, helps us understand that God set up his Kingdom in heaven in the year 1914. At that time, he installed his Son, Jesus Christ, as King. (Psalm 2:2, 4, 6-9) Soon, God’s Kingdom will rule the earth, and it will remove all rival rulerships and make the earth a paradise for humans to live in forever.Shortly, the words of the model prayer that Jesus taught will be fulfilled: “Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.” (Matthew 6:10

People use the term God's kingdom simply because that is what they believe is reality. How little they understand God at all.

Mankind values so many petty things like ruling and controlling. I think people want God to control the actions of others for them. Mankind's view of God comes from what they want God to be, rather than what actually is.

Life is the education of God's children. God returns our actions to teach us what our actions really mean. When one understands all sides, Intelligence will make the best choices. This is our journey to wisdom, intelligence, and understanding what the best choices really are. This journey also teaches us to Love Unconditionally.

People advance through the many lessons and many lifetimes until they reach the point of wisdom where a physical body is no longer needed. This is the point of Great Intelligence.

Great intelligence does not need to be ruled or controlled because one already understands the best choices. Those choices that are not the very best are no longer viable for one to make simply because one is truly Intelligent by then. One has let go of those petty things like: Ruling, Controlling, Judging, Condemning, Hating, Punishing, Coercing, Intimidating, Greed, Selfishness and such. By reaching that Higher Level one would have let go of all those things that generate unhappiness. All that is left is Unconditional Love through our own free choices.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

When? I believe it's starting to happen now as a birth takes time. Accomplish? God's Love will be manifest in the world instead of being hidden behind a veil.
Good point! God is love.He has always showed love and he will definitely do it in the future.this is his nature.
Let’s see what is written in Matthew 6:9,10 ” You must pray, then, this way:”our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.Let your kingdom come”.
The sanctifying of God’s name is closely a associated with the coming of his Kingdom.
Why did Jesus say to do that? Is that so important to sanctify God’s name?

I see)thanks a lot for your answer )
You say: Great intelligence doesn’t need to be ruled or controlled.....understands the best choices”
This reminds me of Adam and Eve.the first couple. they were placed under one restriction. It was imposed for obedience to God’s instructions as a test of their obedience to God, for obedience to his instructions would be absolutely necessary in order for them to carry out their duties successfully. Despite being perfect and intelligent they really needed that restriction.
Jesus is the firstborn of all creation.By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second greatest person in the universe ,he is intelligent .At Hebrews 1:6 the angels (being intelligent)are instructed to worship Jesus.Angeles are in submission of Jesus;consequently Jesus Christ is in submission of God.(Matthew 4:10)
In harmony with that; being perfect or not;being intelligent or not we all need to be ruled or controlled by God.
And only God’s Kingdom can rule people in the best way
