The oldest depiction of יְהֹוָה, he is riding a Chariot , with a large Wheel.

This was minted around Jerusalem in the 4th Century BCE
    [IMG]
Now forward 800 years, to the 4th century CE Jewish Synagogue
    [IMG]
If you look closely in the midst, you will see the Chariot and the Wheels, the Zodiac itself is in the shape of a Wheel, so from 4th century BCE to 4th century CE, the iconography was preserved, so what happened too this Judaism?

You won't find colourful Zodiacs and iconography in any Jewish synagogue today, they are no different
    to boring dull dark Churches.

This is what they have become, no Ancient people were dressed like that, what are they preserving?, they
    have lost there entire identity.

If one looks beneath the superficial "clothing" to the essential message, wisdom can be found. These three are from The Lights Of Kabbalah on facebook:

"Life is for love, this is the message of the Torah, the essence of life is love. For this we are called to build a world of connection through our Torah and Mitzvot. Love is the entire Torah."

    Rebbe Elazar Ben Azarya

"Before your soul descended to this world, it was determined she would succeed. If not in this lifetime, then in another, or yet another—eventually she will fulfill her entire mission. And in each lifetime, she will move further ahead. It was this knowledge that conceived her. It was this inspiration that brought the world to be. It is this vision of her success that lies at the essence of all things."

Rabbi M. M. Schneerson (The Lubavitcher Rebbe)

"Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it."

    The Talmud

All the problems with Judaism can be summed up in one word " Talmud " .

It got lost along with the rest of our idolatrous past, thank G-d.

    You're antisemitism is showing through.

Why would we preserve an ancient form of dress?

You don't know what Jewish identity is, to know whether it was lost or not.

The Prophets were Jewish, Jesus was a Jew, he chose 12 Jews as apostles, the Bible was written by Jews, and Jesus said "salvation is from the Jews".

They are obviously special in God's eyes. He kept them separate...

The world would be more boring if Jews became Christian.

Let them keep their Hebrew identity. Much of that would be lost if they converted.

I don't think God wanted them to convert to Christianity. He could just"enlighten" them all and he refuses to.

Why does God refuse to speak clearly to people? He is asking for there to be many Religions and division.

Don't blame the Jews... how about blaming God? He could speak to Jews, Muslims, Hindus, pagans, and atheists. Instead he remains silent.

Let the Jews follow their understanding... you follow yours...try not to be so critical. God wants there to be confusion and division... isn't that obvious? ;)

I think we both know that you're trying to create a false equivalency here. The idolatrous past of Judaism is well documented in the Tanach. The prophets constantly exhorted us to stop. Moving past that is a positive thing within the framework of Judaism.

You on the other hand, disparage synagogues for not having zodiac signs in them. As though that is the only thing that can beautify a synagogue. You're just looking for something to harp on. The same reason you chose to paste a copy of Jews drunk on Purim as a way of portraying Jews as crazy.

God has a plan for his people. He doesn't blame them for following Moses and the prophets.

He knew what would become of them. Let them be a separate people and keep their culture and identity. Tis the will of God!

    Ezekiel 1:23
under the Chariot , they were wings

There is nothing wrong with the way Jews dress. I admire their piety and culture. I pray often for the Jews and Israel. So should you! shutterstock_29779018.jpg Hasidic Jew praying at the wall

Let the Jews be Jewish :)...they are a threat to no one and friends of the free world...they bring Democracy and rational mindedness to the middle East... don't worry about the Jews...they aren't the monsters you think they are... you remind me of my Dad. He's scared of the Jews as well...I find it amusing. :D

    And therefore?

    No, they don't.

A cherub doesn't have wheels. The wind does not have wheels. So no.

A cherub doesn't have wheels. The wind does not have wheels. So no.

The clouds do not have wheels. The wind does not have wheels. In any case it's using metaphorical language as is evidenced by the following verse about the the depths being covered like "clothing".

You've changed the words to suit your needs. It says "Praise G-d in His sanctuary, Praise Him in His firmament of power."
The word רקיע raqiʕa means 'firmament' as in Gen. 1:6.

You've changed the words to suit your needs. It says "And under the firmament, their wings were straight..."
The word רקיע raqiʕa means 'firmament' as in Gen. 1:6.

You've changed the words to suit your needs. It says "And there was a Voice above the firmament that was on their heads. With their standing, they lowered their wings."
The word רקיע raqiʕa means 'firmament' as in Gen. 1:6.

You've changed the words to suit your needs. It says "And from above the firmament that was over their heads, like the appearance of sapphire stone, the image of a throne ."
The word רקיע raqiʕa means 'firmament' as in Gen. 1:6.

    Why break your streak now?

    And we're back.
You've changed the words to suit your needs. It says "And G-d said 'Let there be a firmament within the water'"

This is not a quote of the verse. All the Egyptians chariots were in the water.

It says, "Who is of all flesh who heard the voice of the Living G-d speak from within the fire as we have, and lived?".

    The Art speaks for itself.

    רֶכֶב * rekeb - Chariot
    רָכַב * rakab - Mount
    רְכוּב * rĕkuwb - Chariot
    רָקִיעַ * Raqiya - Firmament

So what exactly is a firmament ?

    Ezekiel 6:11
stamp ( Raqa) with thy foot ( Regel )

    Exodus 24:10
And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet ( Regel )
as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone,

    Ezekiel 1:26
And above the Chariot that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone:

    Ezekiel 10:2
And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels underneath the cherub

The word 'Chariot ' from Latin CARRVS in Hebrew that is כְּרוּב ( ker·üv )
    which is 'Cherub

τρόχῳ ( Troxw ) means 'Wheel in Greek, it's Hebrew cognate is Rek·üv(רְכוּב) 'Chariot and רָקִיעַ * Raqiya ( Firmament ) and these words gave us Trek , Track and Tractor.

Why do Original synagogues have Zodiacs with the Charioteer in the Midst.
