What do different religions teach about casual sex?

Having tried both ways, I can say that my experience is that this isn't true.
Frankly, I think that there is a real danger, in postponing sex until after marriage, of discovering that the newlyweds are, well, sexually incompatible. Sexual incompatibility is the term used to describe when two partners have different sexual needs. Each partner may enjoy different types of foreplay, fantasies, intensity, or frequency of sex. A sexually incompatible couple has a lack of sexual understanding between them, which leads to dissatisfaction, and sex is important, like it or not, for most such relationships. Studies show a decrease in relationship satisfaction if one or more partners feel sexually incompatible.

Sexual incompatibility can affect all types of relationships, even a husband and wife. If one partner has a higher libido than the other, it can create friction and a sense of rejection. Partners can experience sexual arousal at different times throughout the day, not allowing for the timing of each other’s needs to be met. Sexual libido often changes, impacting sexual compatibility later in the relationship. If partners haven’t explored their sexual desires or needs early on in the relationship, these can become issues discovered later in marriage.

And @IndigoChild5559's statistic above fails to account for the fact that it is mostly for religious reasons that couples postpone sex until after marriage, and those same religious reasons are what impels them to stay together (however unhappy they may be) when they discover that they really aren't very sexually compatible. All too often, and we know this is true, the "cure" is infidelity, the secret tryst to satisfy needs that cannot be met at home. And that has its own dangers.

Or they take the approach my ex's parents took: take out their resentment at being trapped in a marriage by making each other miserable for 50 years.

Have you ever seen (or read) Edward Albee's one-act play "The American Dream?" One of the funniest remarks is when the character Mommy declares that she has a right to live off Daddy's money because she lay back and let him "bump your uglies on me" years ago. It is not unsurprising that Daddy winds up somewhat hang-dog and submissive. And clearly, Mommy wasn't enjoying it all that much, either.

Lavenderism would probably say to energetically cleanse yourself somehow before and after sex, and casual sex is not actually looked down upon since it is said a person who dies a virgin may become a ghost that spies on people in bathrooms. They may even become an intranquil thetan and need to begin relationships with spirits or other ghosts in order to pass on.

Casual sex is seen in mythology (Or at least implied) under various deities especially the love goddess who has a forest in the underworld of men and women who have become bunny spirits themselves and spend time in the garden with other beautiful bunny people partying or doing whatever else. Spirits and gods are having ******* children all the time, and some gods have even had ******** with random humans creating hybrids. There are spells to summon incubi, succubi, and all the demonic magic can even serve as a backdoor into other forms of sex magic.

Sex is not really encouraged though, it is seen as something people (and gods) are just going to do. Sexual energy is used in other spells and rituals as well even if they are not sexual in nature, like using sexual energy to manifest or transferring it to the third eye chakra.

Edit: For the censored word you can replace it with "Born outside of marriage" because it's basically what I said, although the term I used starts with a B and is sometimes used as an insult, which is probably why it was censored.

I have only tried it one way but I don't need to try it both ways in order to know I don't ever want to do it the other way.
I think sex should be reserved for the person you love and if you love that person then you can get married.
If you don't love that person enough to get married then it is not a commitment, it is just an arrangement for benefits.

Unless the Bible clearly says that "sexual immorality" includes sex outside of marriage, I'd say you're just inserting your own biases into the text.
It's in the Bible. Fornication is sex out of wedlock.

What is fornication according to Bible?

Fornication is carnal union between an unmarried man and an unmarried woman. It is gravely contrary to the dignity of persons and of human sexuality which is naturally ordered to the good of spouses and the generation and education of children. Moreover, it is a grave scandal when there is corruption of the young.

Fornication - Wikipedia

Galatians 5:19 - Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissensions, party spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like.

What does the Bible say about fornication?

My religion doesn't tell others what they can/can't do on there own time in privacy with others. It does warn against sexual compulsion, addiction and promiscuity as they are self destructive.

Sexual incompatibility is not necessarily about different needs, it is about different desires but it can be more than that. Right after I got married I discovered that my husband did not know what to do, or he just did not want to do it, which basically amounted to the same thing. Being naive as I was I just expected him to know what to do and how to do it since he was a man. This caused a huge problem since I was really angry at him and he almost committed suicide on the honeymoon. It all worked out in the end after we saw a sex therapist, but he never wanted to be the dominant partner so I just had to adjust to that. Now, I really don't know how I would feel about a man orchestrating the sex act, I might feel very uncomfortable.

Truth be told, this thread was inspired by a man on a dating site who wants to have a sexual relationship with me. I explained to him why I would never have sex out of wedlock and he seemed to understand, although he thought I was kind of unusual, but he just checked back with me and said "Are you sure? It would be fun." I will never understand why people put such a high value on fun. Fun is not important to me. I'd rather be working and getting something accomplished.

How many translations did you have to go through to find one with that term rendered as "fornication?" Most I can find render that term "sexual immorality."

The greek word in the original text is "porneia," which originally meant "prostitution," but apparently by New Testament times had broadened its meaning. This source suggests that we can infer from context that it's used in different senses throughout the New Testament:

So again: not a clear prohibition on sex outside of marriage.

I think you will have to ask a Christian. I am not a Christian so I am not very familiar with the Bible.
Maybe @InChrist can explain what fornication means to a Christian, within the context of the Bible.

As far as I know, the Christianity teaches that sexual immorality includes sex out of wedlock.

What does the Bible say about fornication?

What do different religions teach about casual sex? By casual sex I mean sex just for fun, sex without love, and sex outside or marriage.

My religion, the Baha’i Faith, teaches that sex is only allowed between two lawfully married people, a man and a woman.

As I understand it, the New Testament prohibits sex outside or marriage and refers to it as fornication. Why then do so many Christians have sex out of wedlock?

I know what Christianity teaches but I do not know what Judaism and Islam teach, but I would like to know. I would also like to know what other religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism teach.

One reason why I want to know what I am asking is because I have been on many dating sites and almost all men who I meet want women who will have casual sex and sex out of wedlock. That is one reason I will never find a man, because I will never compromise my principles, but I am no longer unhappy about not finding a man since I have ceased to care.

Most men I meet self-identify as Christians yet they do not adhere to what the Bible says.
I cannot respect these men. They don’t have to have sex, they just want to have sex.

A relationship is about more than sex but you’d never know it since all these men talk about is sex. I have no interest in any man who considers sex more important than God or anything else that two people enter into a relationship for. Moreover, I cannot understand why men in their late 60s and 70s are still so focused on sex, as if there is nothing else that matters.

Of course, everything I said could apply to women as well as men, but since I do not see what women post on dating sites, I don't know what they say to men.
Maybe you should get out and try to find a man with your interests instead relying on dating sites. However, the only place I can imagine that happening is at a church or some function that would attract older religious people.

And please don't single out Christians as hypocrites. You see the same sort of behavior from all religious groups when they are in permissive cultures. The Muslims are drinking, gambling and ****ing, too.

I am not really looking anymore because I know there are no men with my interests. I suppose there could be a needle in the haystack, but the only way I will find it is if is the will of God.

I was not singling out Christians, it is just that it is mostly Christians I see on dating sites since I live in The United States.
I am sure pretty much everyone who is unmarried has sex out of wedlock, but since I don't know what their religions teach I don't know if they are going against their religions.

Pretty much all religions are against fornication. This sexual permissiveness is just a secular Western thing. Basically everyone else outside Western Europe and the English speaking countries (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) have much more conservative cultures. Most cultures are honor based, too - from Africa to East Asia.

But do you think that means that people living in those other countries don't have sex out of wedlock?

Not sure...
1. Why you think you have the right to give unsolicited dating advice to her.
2. Why you think dating has anything to the topic of fornication which she was addressing.

Because I felt like it, from what she brought up in her OP and others. I wasn't aware I needed to ask your permission or explain myself to you. If @Trailblazer has a problem, I'm sure she'll let me know as I was talking to her, and she can speak for herself.

I'm asking you because you were the one making the argument.

The word in the passage you quoted isn't generally rendered "fornication."

It's translated that way in the KJV, but the KJV also translates a term meaning "rhinoceros" as "unicorn," so I take it with a grain of salt.

As far as I know, the Christianity teaches that sexual immorality includes sex out of wedlock.

It is a very common teaching among Christian denominations, but the claim you made went quite a bit further. You said that "the New Testament prohibits sex outside or marriage and refers to it as fornication" and that Jesus would call Christians who have sex outside of marriage hypocrites.

Ask my permission? Basic politeness is not something we need to ask permission to do.
