Trump's 1st Criminal Trial To Begin In March

Trump’s lawyer was claiming this criminal trial amounted to election interference.

The irony is that paying off a woman he had an affair with to keep her silence from the American people is being defined as election interference.

The poor man might have to get a public defender. His wealth is largely inflated and he may have to put up all of it if he wants to appeal.

I have heard that he could find some business that would be the equivalent of a bail bondsman. For an outrageous fee he could pay someone to put up the money for him. If he wins the man gets all of his money back. If he loses then Trump would owe that lender the money. That lender would have to make sure that besides just the fee that Trump would also have to put various properties in escrow to cover his costs in case that Trump did not win.

But considering the quality of counsel that he has been getting he might be better off with a public defender.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
No, not this one.

There are so many it is so easy to get confused. This is not the Georgia Rico case, this is not the New York fraud case.

This is the New York criminal case.
Shame. I feel the public deserves to view the trial in its entirety.

Details of the actual act are not germane to the case.

‘Right after she put her arms around the back of my neck and proceeded to kiss my lips, I accidentally knocked the glass of iced soda—Pepsi, I believe—off the table just next to us. It was with my right hand. I was raising my hand and somehow knocked over the glass. It frightened Ms. Daniels so bad that she let go of me and ran up the Christmas tree. Lightning speed!’

I’m not fully up on this, but isn’t the issue that he used election funds to pay her off and then used structured payments to reimburse Cohen? In other words, it’s not that paying off a porn star is illegal, it’s the misuse of election funds and payment structuring?
Or am out to lunch on this?

Even if it was his personal funding that may be still called "election funds". I am pretty sure that all campaign spending is supposed to be recorded and reported.
