Trump uses church for political message?

And just moments before, the cops gassed a crowd of protesters to clear the area for the wannabe dictator to make his blasphemous display. You could actually hear the concussion grenades going off in the background just moments before Trump took the podium for the "press conference" (even though he didn't take any questions).

If the Church says that it welcomes everyone into it, then it should not be demonstrating any outrage.

If a Leader of their own country has to try to demonstrate sympathetic human reasoning, then he does...for the sake of all of the innocent humans being harmed.

For the right to protest is true....but the right to harm any one is illegal and unlawful.

As it is the human spirituality that is being tested today in America, then it demonstrates it is, losing its owned spiritual morality on which it said America was based...the Lawful God that stated human morality should be exhibited at all times.

It is not the time for anyone to be admonishing others...it is a moment in time when you are allowed to say I was wrong and then try to heal the problem.

Mr. Trump is so cute when he wants to be a Christian. Adorable how he raises that Bible and threatens to sic the Army on Americans. You know what? I bet he thinks that Bible has a lot of words in it. "Many words. Many fine words. Everyone says so. They say the Bible has many fine words. It's like me, the Bible. I have many fine words, too."

I can't fathom why any Christian would want him as their president.

He had to borrow that Bible because he doesn't own one

What gets me is the sheer nakedness - nakedness - of the marketing pitch. It's so clunkily obvious that this is a commercial for: "Trump - the Law'n'Order President. Vote Trump in November. You know it makes sense." [Oh and pass that bible would you: I need votes from the Bible Belt. Now which way up do I hold it?]

In a perverse sort of way I am encouraged by the latest turn of events. It feels as if we are witnessing the death throes of the Trump presidency. This latest stunt looks desperate, as if his strategists have told him he has got to stop cowering in his bunker at the White House, eating burgers and tweeting insanely, and get himself on TV.

But sending in the Army won't solve anything, and certainly not quickly. What is the army going to do that the police and national guard can't do? Shoot people? I suppose they could be used to just put more manpower at the disposal of the police and that might help. But in the end, the only way to defuse this situation is to offer something credible to address the grievance of the protesters. On that, we have heard nothing from Trump, naturally, since dogwhistle racism is a significant part of his electoral appeal.

I wonder now how many American voters, asking themselves whether the country is on the right track, will conclude that it is and four more years of Trump is the answer.

Trump is behaving as if he is trapped, I think.

Honestly too sickened for words by this "stunt".

He used both the church and the Bible (ironically with "God is Love" on it, in the cruellest of ironies) as set-piece props for a self-aggrandizing photo opportunity, after ordering mounted police to assault and forcibly disperse 1,000 peaceful protestors with teargas and rubber bullets, the cannisters still going off in the background as he stood there, his first appearance after cowering for two days in a high-security bunker while his nation burned. Only to then - effectively - declare war on his own people and threaten to "dominate" them.

What kind of statement was that? It was a desolating sacrilege and blasphemy, if you ask me.

The most singularly disturbing spectacle I think I've ever watched and I can't unsee it, however much I wish I could.

America's prophetic problem of inheriting said that it would wage war and communism the basis of it as a warning to self behaviour.

For it is consciousness that thought wrong information first...to have formed historically a male encoded mathematical prophesised wording about self. Lived it, believed in it, and acted it out by choice.

Spiritual teaching says, admonishment owns a place in human learning when the moment contends with human responses. And if anyone is ever going to overcome the protest of life, then it begins in your own home with your own behaviour. Everyone has to own a place in self observation to know what being wrong means.

Galatians 6:1
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I think Trump should be allowed to visit any church he wants, and his flagrant blasphemy is no skin of my nose, but his hypocrisy in holding up a Bible after teargassing peaceful civilians is apparent and shameless
That would be my assessment as well but I can't help but wonder if anybody in a powerful political position would do the same exact thing. Remember the free speech zones people were forced into?

First time I saw D.T's face I thought "wow ... this might be the Anti-Christ".
I got a similar feeling watching this video.

As far as the antichrist is concerned, we have seen that in the New Testament he always assumes the lineaments of contemporary history. He cannot be restricted to any single individual. One and the same he wears many masks in each generation.”

—Cardinal Ratzinger (POPE BENEDICT XVI), Dogmatic Theology, Eschatology 9, Johann Auer and Joseph Ratzinger, 1988, p. 199-200

"Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen" (1 John 2:18)

Pope Francis was one of the first Christian leaders, perhaps the first, to explicitly break diplomatic protocol and the church / state non-interference custom, to explicitly call him out back in 2016 while the Donald was still just GOP candidate for the presidency:

Trump's Christianity questioned by Pope

Pope Francis has questioned US republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's Christianity.

Speaking to journalists on board his return flight from Mexico to Rome, the Pontiff said: "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian."

And the Pope was right.

Trump is in my humble judgment an egotheist, one who worships himself:

Egotheism - Wikipedia.

Egotheism is deification of the self, or the view that the idea of God is nothing more than a conception of the self

And the definition of the spirit of Antichrist in the very Bible Trump has just desecrated, is egotheism according to St. Paul:

Man of sin - Wikipedia

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3–10, the "man of sin" is described as one who will be revealed before the Day of the Lord comes.

3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.

The spirit of Antichrist - which is to say the antithesis of the values that Jesus represented and stood for, dressed up as a false messianism that leads many, including many Christians, astray - is a perennial phenomenon that the church must contend against in every generation:

Catechism of the Catholic Church - "From thence He will come again to judge the living and the dead"

675 ... The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.576

676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope... The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,577 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.578

I really don't. I need to research more,

Start with the Idiot's now-infamous speech in the Rose Garden, which preceded his now-memorable walk across the street, where he stood in front of a boarded-up church, was handed a Bible on the spot, and "paid his respects to a very, very special place).

Here's what the Donald said yesterday afternoon, in the Rosegarden:

Thank you very much. my fellow Americans my first and highest duty as president is to defend our great country and the American people. I swore an oath to uphold the laws of our nation and that is exactly what I will do. All Americans were rightly sickened and revolted by the brutal death of George Floyd. My administration is fully committed that for George and his family justice will be served. He will not have died in vain. But we cannot allow the righteous cries and peaceful protestors to be drowned out by an angry mob. The biggest victims of the rioting are peace-loving citizens in our poorest communities and, as their president, I will fight to keep them safe I will fight to protect you. I am your president of law and order and an ally of all peaceful protesters. But in recent days our nation has been gripped by professional anarchists, violent mobs, arsonists, looters, criminals, rioters, antifa, and others. A number of state and local governments have failed to take necessary action to safeguard their residents. Innocent people have been savagely beaten like the young man in Dallas Texas who was left dying on the street or the woman in upstate New York
viciously attacked by dangerous thugs. Small business owners have seen their dreams utterly destroyed. New York's finest have been hit in the face with bricks. Brave nurses who have battled the virus are afraid to leave their homes. A police precinct has been overrun here in the nation's capital. The Lincoln Memorial and the World War Two memorial have been vandalized. One of our most historic churches was set ablaze. A federal officer in California, an african-american enforcement hero, was shot and killed. These are not acts of peaceful protests, these are acts of domestic terror. The destruction of innocent life, and the spilling of innocent blood is an offense to humanity and a crime against God. America needs creation not destruction cooperation not contempt security not anarchy, healing not hatred, justice not chaos. This is our mission and we will succeed 100%. We will succeed. Our country always wins.
That is why I am taking immediate presidential action to stop the violence and restore security and
safety in America. I am mobilizing all available federal resources, civilian and military to stop the rioting and looting to end the destruction and arson and to protect the rights of law-abiding Americans including your second Amendment rights.
Therefore the following measures are going into effect:
  • Immediately, first, we are ending the riots and lawlessness that has spread throughout our country. We will end it now, today.
  • I have strongly recommended to every governor to deploy the National Guard in sufficient numbers that we dominate the streets. Mayors and governors must establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violence has been quelled. If a city orstate refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problemfor them.
  • I am also taking swift and decisive action to protect our great capital Washington DC. What happened in this city last night was a total disgrace. As we speak I am dispatching thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers military personnel and law enforcement officers to stop the rioting looting vandalism assaults and the wanton destruction of property.
  • We are putting everybody on warning: our seven o'clock curfew will be strictly enforced. Those who threaten innocent life and property will be arrested detained and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I want the organizers of this terror to be on notice that you will face severe criminal penalties and lengthy sentences in jail. This includes antifa and others who are leading instigators of this violence.
  • One law and order, and that is what it is: one law. We have one beautiful law. And once that is restored, and fully restored, we will help you. We will help your businesses, and we will help your families/ America is founded upon the rule of law. It is the foundation of our prosperity, our freedom, and our very way of life. But where there is no law, there is no opportunity. Where there is no justice, there is no Liberty. Where there is no safety, there is no future. We must never give in to anger or hatred. If malice or violence reigns, then none of us is free.
  • I take these actions today with firm resolve and with a true and passionate love for our country. By far, our greatest days lie ahead. Thank you very much. And now, I'm going to pay my respects to a very very special place. Thank you very much.
