Three Days and Three Nights??????

Here is a very simplified timeline.

Sunday- Christ announces that the feast of the passover is in two days and that he will be betrayed.

Monday- A woman annoints Jesus Christ's feet with oil in preparation for his burial.

Tuesday 6:00 pm- Passover begins and Christ and his disciples sit down to the passover meal, which is referred to as 'The Last Supper".

Tuesday probably around 9:00 pm- Jesus prays and suffers in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Tuesday probably around 12:00 am- Jesus betrayed and arrested.

Wednesday 9:00 am- Christ nailed to the cross.
Wednesday 12:00 pm- It becomes dark until 3:00 pm
Wednesday 3:00 pm- Christ dies on the cross.
Wednesday around 6:00 pm- Christ placed in the tomb.

Thursday- First day of the "Seven Day Feast of the Unleavened bread", which is a sabbath day, or holy convocation. The tomb is sealed and guards are place at the entrance.

Friday-

Saturday (weekly sabbath)- Jesus Christ is resurrected at no earlier than 3:00 pm and no later than 6:00 pm for the prophecy to be fulfilled that he would "rise on the third day". This event happens with no human witnesses. "The Shroud of Turin" is the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, which has the imprint of the resurrected Christ's body burned into it, and is the only physical evidence of Christ's resurrection.

Sunday before dawn- Mary Magdeline discovers the tomb is empty.
Sunday at dawn- Christ appears to Mary Magdeline.
Sunday night - Christ appears to his disciples, except Thomas who was absent.

Eight days later- Christ appears to his disciples again and shows himself to Thomas.

I would also like to know how the sabbath got changed from saturday to sunday.
Acts 20: 7

"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow, and continued his speech until midnight."

The sabbath was changed to Sunday by the Romans after adopting Christianity as a means of converting worshipers of Sol Invictus (the Invincible Sun) the chief pagan deity of the time (worshiped by Constantine the Great until his death). The Christian holy day then became "Sun"day while the Jewish people continued to observe the origanal sabbath day.

Why did it only take his 6 hours to die? It took at least 2-3 days in those times. Could he not take it anymore? Was he too weak?:faint:
