I do have to admit, with the emphasis on groups and gatherings I never realized how bad my own situation was with Lyft until it was coming out of my mouth to my doctor. Then it did occur to. No where close to 10 at a time, but still around tons of people with a mandated assumption they've been here and there whenever it was.

I'll just go by what you say, ie,
no debates in General Discussion.
Technically, no one is supposed to debate in any thread in any forum that isn't specifically billed as a Debate forum.
Some of the non-debate forums have stickies to that effect, but as with everything else, whoever was in charge of making the stickies probably got bored half way through and went and did something else.
( can't remember whether it was me or not)
