I spent about 9 hours today in a hospital, wandering around almost aimlessly or else impatiently waiting for my name to be called in any one of the (roughly) 3000 or so waiting rooms I found myself in.

I now understand a little bit better why Americans are always frustrated with their Healthcare system.

Do you reckon HaShem was watching like,

'lol @ Harel'.

:D

Why were you there?

Definitely. As the old saying goes: "Man plans and God laughs" (or in the rhyming Yiddish: "A-mensch tracht unt Got lacht.")

Just checkups for some headaches I've been having lately. They found nothing. Is that good? I'm not sure...
Which is why you had to wait so long. The emergency room is supposed to be for emergencies. When people come in for non-emergency events they are put at the back of the list. The one time that I went to the emergency room I was unfortunately ushered very quickly into a room and started getting care. You don't want that to happen to you. Three days later I left the hospital.

I knew that from the start. But I figured, five-six hours, tops. Nope. Almost twice as much...
The only reason I went to the ER was because the neurologist who checked me yesterday told me to go there. I guess wasting an entire day, but just one day, was better than waiting months for each of the checkups I did today.

Also, I had a needle in my arm all day. That was exciting. :cool:o_O

Having been in ERs for myself and my wife, finding nothing is better than finding something serious but of course finding something mostly harmless is best of all.

I of course agree with this in general, but when you have this issue that no one has any idea what's the cause of it, it can drive you bonkers...which is why I'm not dancing in the rain or something right now (also because it's not raining at the moment). I'm just a bit frustrated.
