Actually, I think the following was the critical assumption:
Assume also that this mass is connected in some as-yet-not-understood way so that it has structure, consciousness, feelings, etc.

Otherwise it would have simply been the probability that an infinite amount of mass exists in an infinite volume of space.

Oh and I calculated the probability that my calculations, ERR (of Spinkles) are way off, and I got:

ERR (of Spinkles) = infinity + 1

Nuts!
