On the 1st of January I returned home from a big party. After waking up I noticed there were weird red marks / signs on my left arm. They weren't from scratching. Never had them in real life before. On the moment itself I weirdly didn't pay much attention it, even tough I NEVER had a single scratch/mark on my arm after waking up. My friend told me there are runes in the markings. Does anyone know if this has a meaning and if so what?

I can be wrong, but to me it looks more like marks from your bedsheets then it looks like some form of runes or language

It means it was a hell of a party and you shouldn't drink so much. (Makes the skin soft and you easily get marks.)
Looks like marks from lying on crumpled bed linen, hubby gets them after he has had a drink or few.
As a side note, welcome to RF, the staff canteen will be open later (when one of the staff or @Revoltingest can be bothered to find the key after their usual evening binge (i bet they get marks too))
Anyway in the meantime enjoy a petite gateaux or 2 while waiting.

There are obviously not marks from the bed sheet. They are not uniform, in shape and hue.
If you are sure you did not have these marks after leaving the party, or after arriving home, and before going to sleep, then the marks occurred while you slept.
Since they were not made by the bed sheet... unless your bed sheet is made of straw, or some other material other than cotton, there are only a few explanation left.
1. You made the marks in a sleep state (unawares).
2. Someone came to your room, and made the marks.
3. You have an internal problem, and need a doctor's evaluation.
If you can eliminate these, from a naturalistic viewpoint, then I would say number 2 is the only reasonable explanation from a non-materialist point of view.
Skeptics would continue to deny, and say, there must be a natural explanation, but until they can come up with one, the only exception remaining is supernatural.
Do you use occult,or magic related paraphernalia, or anything at all, associated with divination?
By the way, did the marks fade away... in a short space of time?
I can't read runes, but you're lucky.
Waking up after a big party, one can sometimes find pornographic
graffiti drawn on one's face. And usually it's that hard-to-wash-off
permanent marker. So one must spend a few days explaining to
people why there's a drawing of a penis on one's cheek.

Looks like you were lying on the metal thingy on the bed. I woke up with loads of red lines all over my upper body once. Was stupefied for two seconds until I remembered that I had fallen asleep listening to music with those earbuds with long wires. Rolling on top of wires all night produces interesting patterns.
