A man who told people to sell everything they own and give the money to the poor and that a rich man cannot get into Heaven certainly wasn't teaching Capitalism or acquiring and hording material items.
It would be impossible for everyone to sell everything they own
because the buyer would also have to sell everything...& on & on.
And what would the poor buy with the money?
It's not a sustainable model....."Giveitallawayism"?
Jesus is no Milton Friedman.....although he might win an Ignobel Prize.

Jesus is from a long line of prophets including Amos, out spoken, in you face prophet of social justice.

"I hate and despise your feasts,
I take no pleasure in your solemn festivals
I reject your sacrifices
Let me hear no more of your chanting
But rather let justice flow like water
And integrity like an unfailing stream"
