The question of where the Russians were targetting was always a bit of a guess. We already know that Brooklyn is very vulnerable to climate change:

Depends on your economic status. NYC has had 13 heat-related deaths so far this year. If you can afford air conditioning, you're probably safe from that.
If you're rich enough and you're lucky enough to live on high ground, your biggest direct problem might only be figuring out where to dock your yacht.
Well, there could be pockets of survivors here and there, in some kind of post-apocalyptic world. AOC might still be around. She could end up running Bartertown...or maybe not.

I prefer that if I'm to wake up due to anxiety, it should be about something
more immediate. Setting aside personal stuff, I'd wake up worrying about
another nasty war, one which could even go thermonuclear.
They are very closely related. We are going to see more and more wars related to climate change.
I'd say that's more a function of which leaders we get.
Still, war is the more immediate threat.

But the West is obsessed with globalism. And China is the world's #1 worst polluter, and transporting their pollution products is the elephant in the room.
I wonder about whether the claim is valid.
The analysis deals with pollution from shipping, but it doesn't
address alternatives, which would also contribute to the problem.
There are some positives to these giant ships....
- Their engines are the most thermodynamically efficient engines
ever built.
- They use crude fuel which requires minimal processing...energy
intensive processing.
- Their capacity makes the cost per weight shipped very low.
There are some negatives with the alternatives....
- Manufacturing is often situated where it's more efficient. If moved
elsewhere, there could be higher (energy related) costs, eg, bulk raw
materials being shipped farther or by less efficient means.
I don't have the answers, but I'm skeptical of incomplete analysis.
