Yep, 107 years ago today, Richard Milhous Nixon was brought into this world.

There was a bug in my office, so I killed it.

California's only contribution to the presidency: A Tricky Dick.

Honestly, the only President's Birthday I celebrate is Donald J. Trump's birthday, which we now shall always celebrate each year on June 14th; imo, this should become a national holiday.

He really was a mixed bag. But EPA, OSHA, funding for Planned Parenthood, todays Republicans and Conservatives would denounce him as a socialist.

Elvis was born on January 8th, and Nixon was born on January 9th. If they were alive today, Nixon would be 111, and Elvis would be 89.

I wonder what they would think about America now, if they could see us?

Nixon lost his rank as number 1, in terms of corruption. Nixon was impeached for Watergate, where a few campaign workers tried to spy on the Democrat campaign, at the Watergate Hotel in Washington. This spying was considered the pinnacle of corruption, until Obama and Biden spied on the Trump campaign using FBI and CIA agents, who Obama said reported to them each day.

Nixon thought about that, but he never actually did it. He used amateur spooks. Using Pro-spooks makes Obama snd Biden number 1 in terms of corruption. Nixon is now number 2. We may need to revisit that time in 2016, to make sure Obama and Biden get their place in history and award and rename the pinnacle of corruption after them. It will be based on merit instead of diversity, equity and inclusion.

It probably goes back even further than Nixon, at least as far as using government agents to spy on political opponents. I think that may also be a reason why the Founders preferred a Chief Executive with very limited power - and a relatively small government with a minimal military, law enforcement, and intelligence apparatus (if any at all). So, even if someone did have thoughts of that kind of mischief, they'd have very little to work with, in which case the damage they could do would be minimal.
