No, not really. We can date the movement of the plates. What you are suggesting would release a lot of heat. I mean a LOT. You would pretty much cook everything. Over hundreds of millions of years the heat released does not matter very much. If you did it in the short time period that you are talking about you would almost certainly boil the oceans.I think the answer is found in Genesis 10:25. After the flood, in the days of Peleg, the earth was divided. I believe you would call it continental drift/separation. Have you ever looked at a map and noticed how the continents seem like they could fit together like pieces of a puzzle? So the Kangaroos didn't have to hop all the way to Australia.
At least that is a possible explanation that I can see.
There is no evidence for the flood. Only extremely wild conjecture refuted by reality.
