Sexism Against Men

In the news....
Psaki snaps at reporter's abortion Q and says 'you’ve never faced those choices'
It seems that she believes men shouldn't ask questions about abortion issues.
Should women unable to conceive also be so restricted?

It did seem a bit of a deflection, since the question was (according to the link) about "Joe Biden's statement on the Texas abortion law being at odds with his Catholic faith." The question was about Biden, who is also male and has never been pregnant.

A bit?

I'm sure that being Biden's press secretary isn't the easiest job in the world. She has to stand there and take all this guff from the reporters.

Give me that job, and I'd give those reporters some guff in return. I'd have them all running for the exits.

It's only tough because they avoid straight answers.
(I'd be fired immediately. But it would be an easy job til then.)

An interesting item in the news....
Bette Midler calls on women to refuse sex to protest Texas abortion law
Excerpted...
Actress Bette Midler called for women to refuse to have sex to protest Texas’s recently enacted abortion law and suggested that Congress should guarantee abortion rights for women.
“I suggest that all women refuse to have sex with men until they are guaranteed the right to choose by Congress,” Midler tweeted Thursday.

Midler presumes that all women are pro-choice, ie, none are anti-abortion.
And possibly presumes that men are anti-abortion.
What of pro-choice men & anti-abortion women?
Criminy, I've been pro-abortion longer than most feminists have been.
Bodily autonomy is for everyone, including men, who've had the
state infringe upon theirs, eg, military draft, assisted suicide, beatings
& killings by cops. (95% of cop killings are of men.)

Its annoying how its assumed all men feel one way, and all women feel another. What nonsense.

I remember a columnist in the paper claiming he didn't make many friends by being a pro-life Libertarian atheist. I image that's a tough one.

I’m probably unfairly wary of men that approach me as opposed to women even in safe and public situations: I make assumptions about intentions and it’s really unfair and something I need to work on.

(most things I would mention have already been brought up)

I've run across some pro-life libertarians.
It can make sense when one believes
that life & rights start before conception.

An interesting case I ran across....
This guy was talked into pleading guilty by his attorney
because of jury prejudice against him. Fortunately, his
accuser later came forward to admit she lied about the
rape that had earned her $1,500,000....after he'd been
in prison 5 years.
