By the way, I cannot access the DHS report, titled

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment

from ANY site. Everytime I try to download it, it seems to be blocked, though it supposedly is public record.

If anyone has a link that WORKS, can you please post it? I would rather read the report before forming an opinion about it.

PS - it is nowhere to be found on the Homeland Security site.

My point was that sarcasm by using obviously stupid stereotypes is a way of making the point about the stupidity of the US Homeland Security Report.:)

Wale, yur probly rat - if Texas seceded, it would immediately become the 10th largest economy in the world. Ah'm shur that Presidint Obama's stimulus plan isn't countin' on any of that tax revenew.

Y'all kin do without us JUST FINE.

15th. And would probably squander most of its money on defense spending and creationist textbooks.

I'm over here in East Texas shrugging my shoulders.

Can't see how such "harsh words" would have any impact on a Texan's quality of life. Which is pretty dang good, I might add.

    It's a terrific country....err, I mean state!

Well, grokked, tomspug - I'm impressed! Rick apparently didn't read the report before he succumbed to blog-provoked hysterics.

I doubt that Obama's "stimulus plan" could do well without Texas tax revenues.

    Size DOES matter.

Once on its own, it would no doubt quickly collapse into a 3rd world theocratic cesspit.

The federal government spends more in Texas than it gets from Texas tax revenues; in 2005, about $77 more per person.

Indeed you have; I had to check your activity the other day to make sure you hadn't been spirited off to Guantanamo. ;)

Fair enough - haven't been around to see it. I suppose "hysterics" was an overstatement for a post consisting of this face:

The blogger you linked to is pretty needlessly hysterical though, you have to admit.
