heard this woman on moody radio sayin that homosexuality is deviant blah blah blah. i was suprised this is allowed nowadays. spreading the good news is cool but you can do it without hatred. moody radio is a christian brodcasting station fyi.

The problem is many Christians don't see that as "hatred". To call out another's faults, so that they may "correct" them is seem as their entire mission. To "preach the Word" and convert others to the "faith". If that comes off as hatred to others, so be it.

(Note I don't hold anything close to this viewpoint. )

This kind of thing exists in other countries, but in Germany it is thankfully not (yet) mainstream. In Germany, church membership is slowly but steadily declining. There are 30% Catholics, 30% Protestants and 40% "others" (atheists, Islam, Judaism, churches that are not public corporations). The majority opinion in Germany is secular, so the good thing is that a pastor who preaches against homosexuality at least makes a fool of himself. :D
