This is a joke, right?

Thank you for your comment on the questions,i do respect all the answers from our fellow friends in the RF and i am very glad to find out many of them to be religious by their good manners eventhough that they don't believe on god.

BTW,what is the joke you found on such questions ?

I think you might mean "moral", not "religious".

i have some questions in mind for atheists and others who refuse the idea that god do exist, hope that you'll answer with sincerity.

I don't refuse the idea as much as I don't see evidence of a god. In fact for a long time I wanted to believe there was a god.

Do you obey the rules and laws with ease or you feel hard that you are pushed to do so,such as you wish to park your car in a place where itsn't allowed to do so.

I don't own a car but yes I try and obey the laws so long as the laws are ethical in the sense that I don't blindly obey a law that would put someone in danger. Laws that govern countries are not always ethical or fair.

Do you hate orders,do this ,do that.

Depends on the orders and for what and how I'm ordered about. In a respectful manner I don't hate them, I do them even though it will give me the occasional headache.

Are you happy to help someone in the road having some troubles with his car, such as to give some push,or car battery charging....etc

As I said before I don't drive but yes I would gladly help someone who was having car trouble.

Do you feel happy to help somebody in need, poor family and the like.

Yes. In fact I've let 2 homeless people stay in my small trailer until they could get back on their feet. I don't have leisure money to spend much less enough money but when I can, I volunteer and help out when a person or animal is in need. In fact it gets to the point where I can't sleep at night knowing I can't help everyone who's in serious need of it.

Do you find it easy to forgive someone who was rude with you.

Yes.

Do you like to have more than one sex partner (polyamory)

I don't have a sex partner but if I did, one would be enough for me. I find relationships including platonic ones quite overwhelming and challenging at times.

Do you feel happy with gambling

I don't gamble.

Do you prefer spiritual drinks than other drinks

I don't drink alcoholic beverages, not even a little these days.

Do you think you are good to your parents,i mean do you obey or disobey them.

Yes I try and be good to my parents. My parents haven't given orders since I was a kid just advice and I'm always happy to cosider carefully with their advice.

Do you like gossiping or usually doing it.

No, I can barely chit chat with people let alone gossip.

Are you fond with bacon and similar products of pork meat

I haven't eaten pork or any meat for that matter for 4 years.

Do you feel happy to talk against god or feeling glad to let others choose your way.

Choose my way? Sorry I don't understand. I've even disagreed with atheists. Let's just say I don't really care and if a person chooses to believe in god, more power to them as long as their concept of god doesn't affect me in my everyday life, for instance getting arrested for not believing in god or being accused of offending "him" if I don't happen to agree with the person who wants to impose their ideology onto me.

Do you usually keep a secret or expose it.

Depends on the secret but normally I'm an honest person.

Do you obey the rules and laws with ease or you feel hard that you are pushed to do so,such as you wish to park your car in a place where itsn't allowed to do so.

-Yes, that's probably my case. I obey laws but I find that some laws and rules are made for political and economic purposes and not for humanitarian purposes. And that ****** me.

Do you hate orders,do this ,do that.

-Well, I don't mind people telling me to do something when I am working on a team, when my teacher is telling me how to do something or similar context. But someone ordering me to do something because he somehow thinks he has authority over me, yes, I hate that.

Are you happy to help someone in the road having some troubles with his car, such as to give some push,or car battery charging....etc

-Of course!

Do you feel happy to help somebody in need, poor family and the like.

-Of course, but I don't usually have the oportunity.

Do you find it easy to forgive someone who was rude with you.

-Hmmm. It depends on how "rude" he/she was. But I could say yes, as an average, I usually forgive with relative ease.

Do you like to have more than one sex partner (polyamory)

-If I'm on a relationship no, I rarely look at other than my mate.

Do you feel happy with gambling

-Gambling like slot machines, roulette, and stuff? No, not at all. I like poker though!

Do you prefer spiritual drinks than other drinks

-Spiritual drinks? I don't even know what that is :p U mean alcohol? No, I'm a coke maniac.

Do you think you are good to your parents,i mean do you obey or disobey them.

-My parents very rarely "command" me something, they ask for it. But yes, I "obey" my parents unless they ask me to do something stupid, but that's rarely the case :)

Do you like gossiping or usually doing it.

-I like doing gossip hahaha But just for fun, not in any evil way.

Are you fond with bacon and similar products of pork meat

-Not really.

Do you feel happy to talk against god or feeling glad to let others choose your way.

-Hmmm... I rarely talk **** about God, but I'm happy to say I don't believe in him and I'm happy to hear people around me don't believe on him neither.

Do you usually keep a secret or expose it.

-I know I said I like gossip, but yes, I always keep secrets.

i have some questions in mind for atheists and others who refuse the idea that god do exist, hope that you'll answer with sincerity.
I don't refuse the idea that various gods exist; I just find most claims to either lack evidence or be demonstrably false. Usually the more specific or foreign the claim is (Zeus, Allah, Yahweh, Krishna, Jesus, and so forth), the less likely I find it to have any meaning to me.

Do you obey the rules and laws with ease or you feel hard that you are pushed to do so,such as you wish to park your car in a place where itsn't allowed to do so.
I'm pretty good at following the law.

Do you hate orders,do this ,do that.
Most orders make sense. Most laws make sense.

I need to respect the source of an order in order to respect the order. And usually a source I respect has no need to issue orders because they can demonstrate an appropriate course of action with logic. In my view, following orders in most cases without understanding why and agreeing with them is childlike.

There are authorities I'm willing to bend to a little bit. If a boss wants to do something that I don't think makes sense, I'll still do it because it's his domain and the buck stops with him, and he's responsible to his boss as a leader. But if his order is totally out of line with reason or ethics, then I'll find a new boss or work for myself; I only work for reasonable bosses.

Similarly, there is need in the military for some orders due to the intensive and swiftness that they need to act with sometimes. But the orders should still generally be reasonable to be followed.

Outside of circumstances like that, a reasonable person should be able to explain why a given course of action is optimal and should therefore have no reason to give orders. Suggestions and recommendations, not orders.

Are you happy to help someone in the road having some troubles with his car, such as to give some push,or car battery charging....etc
Sure, although I'm not too savvy on cars.

Do you feel happy to help somebody in need, poor family and the like.
Sure.

Do you find it easy to forgive someone who was rude with you.
Very easy.

Do you like to have more than one sex partner (polyamory)
No.

I don't care if other people do.

Do you feel happy with gambling
No.

I don't care if other people do it if they're not hurting anything.

Do you prefer spiritual drinks than other drinks
Wine in moderation has been shown to have certain health benefits and tastes good, so I have some. Most times I drink water or tea.

Do you think you are good to your parents,i mean do you obey or disobey them.
I don't live with them. Usually they come to me for advice on things now.

Do you like gossiping or usually doing it.
No.

Are you fond with bacon and similar products of pork meat
No.

Do you feel happy to talk against god or feeling glad to let others choose your way.
I'm open with my feelings towards things I find to be untrue, ignorant, malevolent, or otherwise bad, which from my point of view does include the presentation that some people make of their various local deities.

But people can believe whatever they want, and there's no reason to actively harass anyone.

Do you usually keep a secret or expose it.
Keep it if it's reasonable to do so.

i am as a believer knowing that god is a merciful one, then i don't think that he'll punish good people, who do obey the rules and helping the poors once they can do so it and give a hand for anyone who is in need to it,,etc

religion is an ethics and morals, and iam just wondering that if a person is doing all such good things, then i am in doubt that god may punish him, because according to my belief that the good deeds are accounted by god.
It's important to realize that different cultures have different "rules". And different cultures or different people may have rules that are significantly more logical than the rules of others. Moreover, people that are conscious of most of their actions should have little need for "rules" and instead rely on judgment, intelligence, logic, values, etc.

For example of relative rules, I find many aspects of Islam and the Qur'an to be immoral. You would likely find aspects of my life to be immoral, like drinking a glass of wine.

And depending on the context I'm happy to compare anybody's rules to mine to see which ones are consistent and logical.

What a nice group of people! :D Though, I am sure that if you opened up these questions to everyone, regardless of religious persuasion, we'd find out that the world is populated by generally nice people.

Don't really have anything to say that's much different from what everyone else has been saying, but since you seem to appreciate the answers, I'll give 'em a go.

Do you obey the rules and laws with ease or you feel hard that you are pushed to do so,such as you wish to park your car in a place where itsn't allowed to do so.
I like to think of myself as a rebel, but really, I'm a bit of a sheep when it comes to rules. It's not that I go out of my way to follow them; it's that it often doesn't cross my mind to act in any other way.

But yes, if a particular rule seems arbitrary, unfair, or ridiculous to me, I am willing to bend the rules. My personal nemesis is dog leash laws. I hate dog leash laws. I wish Corp could run around and chase squirrels to his little heart's content.

Do you hate orders,do this ,do that.
Way too context dependent. Who is giving the orders? Is s/he someone I respect or that I need to follow (for my job, for instance)? What sort of order is it? Is it reasonable? Is it taking away my personal autonomy?

I mean, I'll bristle like anyone else if I feel unnecessarily bossed around, but I don't have a blanket "I hate orders" worldview.

Are you happy to help someone in the road having some troubles with his car, such as to give some push,or car battery charging....etc
If I was a boy and more knowledgeable, probably. As it is, if I stopped, I'd be pretty worthless. But I help people out in other ways.

Do you feel happy to help somebody in need, poor family and the like.
Of course.

Do you find it easy to forgive someone who was rude with you.
Yup. It's actually a little bit of a defect of mine. I have trouble remembering emotions, so once the initial anger fades, I'm pretty much just wanting things to run smoothly again. Unresolved conflicts are more of an emotional toll for me than whatever offense I was given.

Do you like to have more than one sex partner (polyamory)
I don't know. Never tried it.

Do you feel happy with gambling
I really hate the casino environment. But outside of that, I do like making friendly wagers, playing penny poker, or occasionally, getting in on some sort of raffle or lottery event.

Do you prefer spiritual drinks than other drinks
Assuming you meant alchohol, no. I drink water 90% of the time. I'm actually rather pathetically addicted to the stuff.

The other 10% is split about evenly between beer and chocolate soy milk. Not together though, because that would be gross.

Do you think you are good to your parents,i mean do you obey or disobey them.
I try to be good to them. In general, I think I was a good kid, and I believe I've grown up into a responsible, loving adult. We clash sometimes, but at the end of the day, I do appreciate them and want to give them the respect and love they deserve.
Do you like gossiping or usually doing it.
About celebrities? No. About crazy Aunt Holly? Absolutely. Who doesn't love the stories about the silly antics various friends and family members have committed?
Are you fond with bacon and similar products of pork meat
Yup. Cheddarwurst is probably my favorite. Though in general, I'm not a big meat sort of person.

Do you feel happy to talk against god or feeling glad to let others choose your way.
I enjoy debating online about it, but I rarely talk about religion in real life. For the most part, I don't mind what other people believe as long as it doesn't get forced on others. Also, as long as people seem to have given their beliefs thought, and haven't just swallowed whatever their culture has been feeding them, I'm pretty pleased.

Do you usually keep a secret or expose it.
If I know it's a secret, my lips are locked and the key is thrown away. If it was ever something that needed to be told, like someone was in danger or doing really illegal things, then I'd probably break my secret, but I've never been in that position before.

Just an aim to understand the characteristics of the atheists in general and how it differ from one atheist to another.

i am as a believer knowing that god is a merciful one, then i don't think that he'll punish good people, who do obey the rules and helping the poors once they can do so it and give a hand for anyone who is in need to it,,etc

In light of your explanation above, I have to ask if you think there is any reason for an atheist not to eat pork or drink wine, provided that they do it in moderation so that it isn't any more harmful than eating or drinking other foods/drinks. It seems to me that your questions treat eating pork and drinking wine as "bad deeds," but that view also appears to be influenced by religious belief. Given that an atheist obviously wouldn't believe in a religion that forbids the consumption of pork, for example, I don't see how or why they are to be expected to view eating it as "bad" or not do such.

Practically the whole foundation of it, but going into detail would take your thread off topic.

The point is, this list of things you provided is not an objective list of moral things; it's your culture's view of what's moral. From another person's point of view, such as myself, many concepts on that list are foreign and not relevant, and further, any list I make of morality would include things you don't follow.

Exactly. Say it is true that God really doesn't want us to be eating pork. At worst, we are simply committing a "bad deed" out of ignorance. We didn't know that it was something bad.

But do you think that the habit of drinking wine can be controlled as to be in moderation all the times, How many accidents were caused because of a drunk driver and I'm surprised that our laws punish the driver if was drunk, how he can be aware that he is disobeying the laws after being drunk and which is allowed every where restaurants,clubs...etc
and should he go back home by walking :),if he was still aware of what he was doing.

Where I live (the Province of Ontario in Canada), in about 1.7% of collisions, at least one driver had been drinking. My best guess would be that in less than half of these were cases where the driver's blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.

People have the responsibility to ensure that when they drive, they're in a fit state to do it. In principle, it's no different than fatigue.

People do get tired where you are, right? I don't know where you live, but I'm pretty sure that the law where you are says that people in general can be tired - even very tired - in general, but have to be alert when they're driving, right?

Edit: where you are, does the law say that you aren't allowed to drive if you're even a little bit tired?

FearGod,

What are your answers to your questions in the OP?

If they're not all something like "No, I wouldn't do that... but only because I think God doesn't want me to do it", then how is religion relevant to any of them?

But do you think that the habit of drinking wine can be controlled as to be in moderation all the times,

I assume it would be similar to how people are assumed to be responsible in their consumption of soft drinks, fast food, and over-the-counter drugs — all of which can be harmful if not used in moderation. Do you or do you not suppose that those things can be controlled in moderation at all times?

However you respond to that question, apply the same logic to wine and you'll have your answer.

How many accidents were caused because of talking on cellphones while driving? Do you think people should be banned from using cellphones altogether or just while behind the wheel?

No, i don't believe on blind faith, never.such as saying i should do so and so just because god asked me to do it.

God asked me not to drink wine and intoxicants,i'll ask myself, why he asked me so,why he didn't ask me not to drink orange, lemon or any other juices, but why only intoxicants, then for me i have the Conviction that yes it'll be better for me and for my health to avoid alcohol, not only because he asked me to do so,but because i understand it to be good for me to avoid it.

Even the medical advice of today, tend to avoid drinking alcohol.

Yes you are right that people may eat a lot such as fast foods, but in that case they only hurt themselves, but not the others which is not the case in drinking alcohol where the person may hurt others and not only himself if he over drink.

And such accidents caused by using cellphones while driving is because the person don't respect the laws which is found to protect him and the others and i guess most answers said that i'll obey the laws if i believe it to be right or depending on the laws..etc.

Okay. I wanted to make sure I understood where you're coming from. I can't remember how many times I've been asked things like "why don't you go around killing and stealing if you don't think God will punish you?"

If God's concerned about your health, why didn't he tell you not to smoke tobacco?
