Some Kind of Strange

Okay, i only heard the one that you presented with the blond haired chick, I wanted to make sure that I know how to do this right first, cause yours WAS skipping, i'm playing Djmailas first song and it's still skipping BUT I think I have to play it though first, cause I DID hit pause and waited for that line to fill up but it didn't work:no: :( . BUt now I'm just playing it while it's minimized on the bottom of my screen so we will see.:D

This would be so much easier if we were in the same room. Lol! The only other reason I can think of for it to be skipping is if you have too many programs running besides youtube.

Ok, I promise I'm not being (overly) biased here, but for one of my favorite bands, I've GOTTA go with my boyfriend's band, Psychotic 4.
They are pretty good.

I guess if I had to choose one all-time favorite artist, it'd have to be Patty Griffin. She's a fantastic songwriter, with an amazing voice. I'd never miss her concert when she comes near where I live.

I am going to agree with Alan. There is no one like Zappa and there will never be another. Zappa was a pioneer in the technological advances of recording as well as a legitimate genius in the performing music field. The catalog and quantity of recorded music is impressive (how many artists do you know that are still releasing many albums after their death?) as well as the quality. Zappa has experimented with humor music, jazz, classical, international, Ionisation, show tunes and country. The depth of his understanding on music theory, though not necessary for a musician, is deeply appreciative. Zappa was an educated musician but even with all his knowledge, he was a feeling -driven artist first and foremost. His renowned guitar solos were unique, special, audible air sculptures for our senses.

Hehehe, I'll tell them you said so!

Little bit of trivia, the bad guy "the Lurker" in that video is Nick, the singer of another prominent Montreal hardcore band called Trigger Effect, and the guy that climbs up the fence and gets zapped is the drummer from Trigger Effect.

Hehe, I've been asked to be in their next video :D
Tell them I said so too!

i gotta love the Boss. amazing singer, songwriter- i see him as a kind of musical prophet after Guthrie and Dylan. his newest work is his best, but it's aaaall good to me.

and Fogerty. again, fantastic voice, incredible song-writing. Creedence's songs still make me want to dance and tear up in one round.

Beckysoup has already mentioned one of my favourite bands, Led Zeppelin. I absolutely love them!

Eagles are another of my favourite bands. Went to see them a couple of months back and they were fantastic.

Gracie just posted an artist I've been listening to a lot of reccently, Matisyahu.

I'm into all sorts of music, and not just litle bits of each... I'm into ALOT of all kinds of music. So I'll just let it all out from one genre to another.

Hip Hop: 2pac and Biggy (a given for any rap fan). Eminem, Jay-Z, Obie-Trice, Mosdef, Kanye West and snoop (old school snoop). I also love Dr.Dre beats his production skills are solid and Outkast always brings something new to the table... I'm into a lot of other artists but I'm just gonna stick to a few. Just so everyone knows, for those of you who have only heard the singles Eminem has released, you don't know Eminem... listen to his albums... starting from his underground stuff and then from The Slim Shady LP and up... unbelievable lyricism from that guy.

Rock/Metal: System of a Down(#1), Metallica, Incubus, Linkin Park, Billy Talent, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, and Mars Volta. I'm also into a whole lot of other music in this genre, but again I'm just naming a few. I usually enjoy hard rock, and just regula r rock or even alternative.

R & B: 112, Justin Timberlake (not nsync), R. Kelly, Boys 2 Men, Kci and JoJo, Jagged Edge.

I'm not too into country, although the girl I'm seeing right now is trying to get me into it... It all sounds the same to me. I enjoy dance music, house music, trance and all kinds of hard beat sounds... but I dont know the names of the artists behind all of that stuff... I just love the sounds of it, especially at a rave.

That's just off the top of my head. My music list on the computer is massive. I have music from all kinds of genres and eras.

Peace
