Not new but returning after a very long hiatus!

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Wow, so much has happened over the past six or seven or even more years. Anyway, here I am! Ta-da! OK so in a nutshell - I have moved twice, my husband passed away unexpectedly (2020), I left the Roman Catholic Church and came back after my husband died (I only left it because he was such a strong Christian but not a Catholic), and I have several new grandbabies and several have grown up! It's crazy - hey, I got a young start. Anyway that's it in a nutshell but of course there's a whole lot more. Oh, both my parents and my younger brother have also passed away. Ugh. Lots of loss but I am still kicking! I am about to turn 61 by the way.

I'm 68 and my wife and parents also died during the time you were away. It's that time of life, really, at least for one's parents. But cruel to lose a younger brother and a husband so early. I too am drawn back to the Catholic church by these events, not because of any strong belief (I am a bit of a sceptic) but because it helps to put their life and death, and my own, into the context of the sweep of humanity, history and tradition. One feels less alone, thinking of all those who "have gone before us marked with the sign of faith........Matthias, Barnabas, Ignatius, Marcellinus, Peter, Felicity, Perpetua, Agatha, Lucy, Agnes, Cecilia, Anastasia and all the saints...". And the people are nice, and I can sing there.

A new hair color, eh.
Copycat!

Long time no see.
We've had some changes here while you were wasting time on real life.
I remember that you fancy guns & throw pillows.

I'm pretty new here, but I think maybe I know you from another site. RF is a better site, if you ask me. ;)

Holy geez...
I just checked. We have both been here for (although I often stay away for months and then come back) nearly 12 years. I am starting to feel old.

I know, right? Wait until you read your posts from back then and you might feel ancient! (At least I sometimes feel I am when I do that. :p)
