Maybe we should split up. The bootlicking Trumptards who support an authoritarian dictatorship with the military massacring its own citizens in the streets (I've seen many comments calling for that from a certain type) on one hand, and freedom loving, justice minded people on the other.
Personally, I choose to believe that this may be the birth of a new America. This mass movement is not a minority thing. It's spread to the suburbs and rural areas, conservative areas.
Oh, because all those leftist woke fools that demand total control over our thoughts and bash and doxx anyone who disagrees with them, not to mention wanting to set up a socialist "utopia". Yeah, nothing authoritarian about that.

It may not necessarily be a total, permanent split, but a lot of bad blood has built up in this country over the years. A lot of resentments and anger from both sides of the spectrum.
Some people thought the country would split or be plunged into revolution back during the 60s, although the key difference back then is that the economy was much stronger and more stable than it is now. There was also a certain sense of unity back then, that despite our differences, there was a strong feeling of "we're all in this together" (probably a leftover legacy from WW2).
But now, after decades of predatory, dog-eat-dog capitalism (which has had the effect of weakening organized labor and America's economy overall), along with resentment-driven identity politics dividing everyone up into their own specific groups, whatever sense of unity or togetherness which might have existed has evaporated.

It's all about how bad cops can get in to the system, especially the training programs.
Imagine a (fortunate) young recruit who has just finished a near perfect basic training program and who clings to the guidance of the (quality) tutors.... as s/he starts his/her first day in field training with an experienced cop who has never been trauma counselled, training reviewed, etc..... whose first words are:-
