It looks like even the right wing is finally turning on Milo Yiannopoulos: Republicans released a video that led to his book's canceling, his invitation to speak at a conservative conference was revoked, and he's now facing the possibility of being fired from Breitbart:

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hopefully more toxic rabble-rousers and bigots who unjustifiably demonize certain groups and promote hatred in a similarly venomous manner will face similar condemnation.
And before anyone argues that what is happening to him is a violation of freedom of speech: he's still free to espouse his views, but he's not entitled to do so at a specific conference that doesn't want him, in a book that a company doesn't want to publish (which is its prerogative), or on a private website that doesn't want him to do so. Private institutions and outlets have the right to determine what they want to publish, allow to be spoken, etc., in their private facilities and outlets. He can go peddle his views elsewhere.
Also, regarding his "apology" (I'm putting the word in quotations because I have no idea if it's sincere), even if it's sincere, I think what is happening to him now as a result of that video is warranted by other things he has said anyway, so even if that video doesn't condone pedophilia, he still deserves what is happening right now.
This is some of the best news I've read in a while, and I almost can't believe I'm going to say this, but good job on this one, Breitbart. It was long overdue.
From the article said:Milo Yiannopoulos' book Dangerous was canceled abruptly Monday after Republican conservatives released clips of videos-with-audio in which he seemed to condone sex between men and boys.
In a terse statement released Monday afternoon, the right-wing provocateur's publisher said: "After careful consideration, Simon & Schuster and its Threshold Editions imprint have canceled publication of Dangerous by Milo Yiannopoulos."
Minutes later, Yiannopoulos posted this on Facebook: "They canceled my book."
From the article said:Yiannopoulos tried on Facebook to defend himself but it didn't matter. He was abruptly dis-invited from speaking at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference starting this week in Washington, according to a tweet from the American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp.
From the article said:Meanwhile, Yiannopoulos' employer, Breitbart News, was reported by Fox Business Network and Washingtonian magazine to be considering whether to fire him from his writer/editor job where he has gained fame and infamy in equal measure while gleefully aiming vitriol at liberals, gays, Jews, foreigners, Democrats, plus many others.
