This is not the usual Bible study. The purpose of this meditation was to catch a glimpse of the mystical meaning of the text, spirit of the letter, universal truths, hidden behind appearance... Like the message of the parables ... That's why I'm sharing in this forum. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

"In the beginning was the Word..."

    Seed... Word in silence.

Before anything is, the Source of everything is. It's the infinite possibility/potential. Infinite intelligence. God's mind. Omnipotent.

"... and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

    Duality and unity (non-duality).

    Everything is dual and one: Yin-yang, earth-sky, man-woman, heart-reason, outside-inside, work-rest, extension-restriction, tradition-innovation etc.

Actually it's all triple. There is also balance and connection.

    To be continued...

"All things came into being through Him*, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being."

Affinity. All is from the same Seed.

Correspondence, variations on a theme, associations, fractals, analogies ... Randomness is ordered in patterns. Everything is similar to everything. A part reflects a whole: Cosmos - Cosmic principle, microcosmos - Cosmos. "For we are also His offspring." Thus nature is a great teacher that knows all the answers. Thus symbolical interpretation and mystical (anagogical) meaning is possible.

*In my language it's "her" - a word is a she.

I like that you recognize that nonduality is different from monism.

It's interesting you recognize the 'triple' aspect of it. I practice Taiji, and people often mistake Yin/Yang as Taiji. It's not. Taiji is that point of balance that connects to opposites. It's the point where energy moves from the Source into pairs of opposites, the 2nd symbol below:

Connecting this to John 1 is fascinating. I agree. The Logos is what moves the Source into manifest form. In a sense, the Logos of John 1, is Taiji. I read someone describe the above as this, "The wuji is a limitless void, whereas the taiji is a limit in the sense that it is the beginning and the end of the world, a turning point." That is very much the Logos of John 1.

There are many kinds of monism... Interesting connection with Taiji. Yes, this is how I see Logos.

    "In Him was life..."

Life. Active principle. The Seed is planted and from it sprouts life.

"Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit."

Word must be put in action to produce something in life. Word wants to speak out from stillness, it wants to be heard and answered. Dialogue. Love wants to be expressed. Material sprouts from mental/spiritual/non-physical but our mind also needs body and physicality as support and instrument.

Life is movement and change. From words comes a story. Gradual growth is also learning. Life is a lesson. "If you want to move a mountain you begin by moving rocks." "Practice makes perfect."

    There are two ways intertwining:
    1. per aspera ad astram, through cross to resurrection, die to live, eprovement with effort ...
    2. Receiving grace, free gift, giving/receiving in advance (avans), start-up injection, impetus, encouragement, beginning love (falling in love), to indulge, to immerse...

UNdecided [they all appear to be equally true]
through the naming process [word-label] one generates the internal world they live in through the duration of the organism..all things come into being [into ones sphere, into focus] through this active /passive principle
another take on it that seems useful

"... and the life was the Light of men."

Light shows direction. Activity needs focus. Centerdness creates barycenter/direction/purpose.

Life is cycling and progress. It's rhythm and melody. Sustaining and arising. Life is not just turning in circles and also not just wild growth. Everything repeats and at the same time changes - goes through cycles, seasons, phases. Turning and moving in the spiral of time.

"The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

A turning point. Centerdness means also a delimitation/division.

Decide* in Latin comes from "to cut", "to cut off". If there is a direction, you can cut off sideways but you can also go astray. Things can go wrong but at the and light wins.

*In my language to decide means literally "to separate from".

"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Flower, maturity, fruit, fullness - beauty is realized love.

Jesus radiates glory and embodies fullness of man united with God. "I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly."

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God..."

    Harvest, home, garden, kingdom.

What is ripe is gathered together and stored. There is nearness, love, beauty, grace and truth in full swing.
