Well for starters the Hawaiian native faith is a polytheistic and highly diverse even between particular islands and even kin groups.

In Java the native religions are animistic as opposed to the introduced faiths.

i have read a book on Hawaiian shamanism...idk if this helps you... i can not remember to much since i read many books an shamanism and i lost this book :(....but they practice shamanism with some anamism animals weather and volcanos play a role..
