Have you swam in the Nile?
No, as I don't like the idea of drowning. I have swum in the Mediterranean, however!

What do you miss most about the pandemic?
(in case this thread was meant to be and adjunct to this one: Stupid Questions)
Is the Nile dangerous, with a current or something, or did you just never have the opportunity?
Does the Mediterranean ever get big waves, like surfable waves?

Any good books you've read recently?
What changed?
It's dangerous to swim in unless you're an experienced swimmer, and even then, it's best not to. The depth, currents, and, in some areas, the crocodiles just make it extremely risky.
Yes, the Mediterranean gets huge waves! I don't know whether anyone here does surfing, although it wouldn't surprise me.

Good to know about the Nile, not that I'll ever see it. When you swam, were there huge waves? (I've seen a few monsters in Hawaii. In Mauritius, it's very rare because it's surrounded by coral reef. When the typhoon came close when we were there, the people were all scared ... even though the waves were only about 3 feet high. When Boss and I went into the water, they thought we were oh so very brave. It was funny and educational to see how the subconscious works with something you've never seen before.)
Do you ever have strong desires to move away from there?
Absolutely. Immigration is my primary life goal at the moment and has been for the last decade.
If you could change one major thing about RF, what would it be?
Where to?
So what's stopping you?If I could choose, I would probably pick Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the Netherlands, or Canada--in that order. Failing that, just about any developed country would do, even if just as an intermediate point until I could move to a more suitable one.
