The denial of them is exactly what excludes them from being instincts.

The instincts i've thought of are;
1. People, even small children are naturally repulsed by the smell of decay, and related smells like feces. This is to stop them eating or playing with diseased objects
Excuse me if I am incorrect, but it has been my understanding that the pleasure or repulsiveness of smells was due to the construction of our nasal passageways...

3. All people, including children, will naturally cower away from an aggressive figure, this submissive behaviour would hopefully prevent an attack.
I can personally say this is false...
