For me it always comes down to things like the view of the individual, a quest for truth, etc. For instance I'm not a fan of the Church of Satan for promoting collectivist ideology, or claiming to be the only form of Satanism, or ideas like the Yazidi being Devil Worshipers.
Hmmmm...doesn't describe atheists I know.

Satan worshiping collectivists....none I've ever known.
Satan worshipers and atheism are mutually exclusive categories. I know the Satanic Reds were rooted more in communism but no idea if they were theists. I'd say the national socialistic view of ONA also shows a type of elitist-collectivism, such as with the Code of Kindred Honor.

You covered a far right church, what does a far left church look like?
Question: must it be a Christian church or stereotypical place of worship? Or could it be like a secular protest or something?

To him, the body is as, if not more important than, the mind, something that actually shocked me. To him, the body is central to identity rather than the will. He blames this preference for the will for things like abortion, transgenderism, homosexuality, euthanasia, transhumanism, and several more examples (it was only 45 minutes). For instance, he says that modern society says abortion is okay because a fetus is “not a person,” as it lacks personhood because it does not have a conscious self. He says that transgenderism is rooted in the idea that what you feel like overrides what you are “biologically,” same with homosexuality overriding a supposedly biological drive to reproduce. He sees the root of all this in Gnostic Dualism.
I've seen this sort of thought expressed many times here in RF, when the subjects of anything sexual come up. It is, to me, truly bizarre. One of the problems with it is that it explains almost zero about what we now know humans are capable of -- largely because of that mysterious organ behind our eyes and between our ears, that can make us mathematical geniuses, musical prodigies, sublime writers, serial murderers and psychopaths, and so much more, none of which can be explained by "the body."

Maybe a place where left-wing theists hang out in.

I'm a right wing atheist, theres gotta be left wing theists out there in religion land.

The fact of the matter is, atheists typically lean to the left (Democrat) -- about 69%. 17% lean neither way, and only 15% lean right (Republican). This does not surprise me.

The bad thing is, that they're very transparent in their nastiness. The good thing is, that their transparency warns off every decent hearted, intelligent person within a billion mile radius. I'll take chest-thumping loud mouths, over quiet clever sneaks.

True. But I don't think religion requires theism.

You are correct. Religion only requires moral assertions. So every human being who espouses or asserts a moral understanding or system is religious.
