He just watched me as I washed dishes. Never flew away even though I was only a couple of feet from him.

Owls are so fascinating to me.

Nope. Just watched me until I left the kitchen. Never saw him again.

I had two Great Horned Owls perched in the pines near my house. I couldn't see them, but I could hear them. They were having a conversation, hooting from separate trees, back and forth. Beautiful sound.

For the last few years we've neen hearing two owls in the forest hooting back and forth. This year only one.... Sad

Best to not keep them as pets, unfortunately. They’re better owlside, not inside.
