if i masturbate will i go to hell?

I haven't been masturbating for some time now, and i fell the urges coming. I tried to use people's advice "get busy" and stuff, but it just comes anyway eventually. I'm gay so i'm most definitely will never be married. So my only option is to "hold it in" for the rest of my life? considering that adultery is a sin and masturbation is a sin, it's really hard to stop the cravings for masturbation. If you think how many people have sex (out of marriage) and masturbate everyday, you'd wonder where is this world coming to. some people believe in just masturbating and asking God for forgiveness, but you can't ask and be forgiven every time you do it, i assume. So what's by best option? i was thinking of castration - but seriously NO. I just don't want to make God any angrier than he probably already is and at the same time satisfy myself.

Masturbation isn't a sin....little ones do it naturally...it's like scratching an itch or sneezing. People who say it's a sin have a very low opinion of the deity/ies they believe in. Of course no absolutes, there is healthy ways and unhealthy ways of going about stuff.

If its true that its a sin and we will go to hell for doing it, then what is your worry? We will all be there! Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters....everyone. Yes, including those who lied to you that they dont do it.

Masturbation is considered a sin because it is believed to be contrary to the natural purpose of sex. The argument is that sex exists primarily as the means for procreation, and procreation (and therefore all sexual activity) is only to occur in the contexts of marriage as the purpose of marriage is the creation and facilitation of the family unit. Since the natural function of sex is procreation, it follows then that any sexual activity that cannot result in procreation is contrary to its purpose and is therefore a violation of God's designs. TLDR, it's a violation of natural law.

IMO, I agree that this is a rather simplistic outdated understanding of human sexuality. Sexuality evolved because it is ultimately procreative, but it doesn't follow that all manifestations of sexual behaviour must therefore be procreative otherwise it's unnatural. Human sexuality a little more complicated than that.

No, it's not a sin. Do you really think the Creator of the universe is so petty as to damn someone for touching themselves? He is not a cruel God. He gave us our bodies and our sexuality in the first place. I think He wants us to enjoy it. It's normal and healthy. What's not healthy is repressing it. Also, not having regular orgasms increases your chances of getting prostate cancer. So it's good to "clean the pipes" now and then.

Masturbation is physiologically beneficial, especially for the prostate. Using pornography as an aide is something to be cautious of. I'm not a Christian, but your Christ did warn that the mind's eye is a gateway to sexual sin.

Why, though, do you feel masturbation is "sin" if it doesn't in any way violate the consciousness of others? If it is kept private, it shouldn't be considered "sin". Even if masturbation is a "sin" in God's eyes, it would be the least of all sexual sins.

I'm curious, how old are you? I've noticed my conscious interest, or "urge" as you put it, has been noticeably dissipating since about the age of 24.
