Hamas vs. Israel, a thought experiment

What you're saying is generally true, but I think there is a sort of informal threshold, at which point other countries do intervene.
Examples? Maybe a rare few cases where mass genocides were happening.
By the way. You did not say....Israel will be ok with Egypt taking over the control of Gaza? US also ok with that? You are asking Muslim nations to intervene after all.

Hardly.

Collateral damage, is usually impossible to eliminate, in an urban environment, when using munitions. Gaza being the most densely populated region on Earth. Probably.

What you described was quite different, the deliberate killing of civilians at close range, with firearms, just in case any were murdering psychopaths.

Thus hyperbolic.
The psychopaths include IDF who told civilians to flee and then bombed those fleeing civilians who were fleeing along a path they were told to us. That's not collateral damage, that's a massacre.

Why do you characterize it as seeking revenge, as opposed to seeking the elimination of a barbarous malignant threat?

Because if they were actually seeking the elimination of a barbarous malignant threat, they'd take actions that have that as the goal. Evacuating half of Gaza, while bombing and killing thousands of innocent Palestinians isn't moving toward that goal. It's likely to cause that barbarous malignant threat to worsen.

If that was their goal, they could do things like stop inflaming tensions in Gaza by essentially occupying it (controlling access to it at the very least). They could stop ignoring violence by Jewish settlers in the West Bank. They could actively work on a solution to the whole problem.

I agree, and if that is true, and it quite probably is true, and I will accept your statement at face value. Then those soldiers, should be arrested and charged. As they are war criminals.

Yeah, Israel also just bombed a hospital, they've bombed a school, they have made it very crystal clear civilians have no place to run to and no place to take refuge because they are being attacked and killed in the "retaliation" against Hamas (they've already killed twice as many, injured tons more and aren't done yet, and civilians are suffering more than anyone else).

It looks like Israel is copying Bush Jr. in Afghanistan and Iraq and hardly a damn thing towards the stated goal but working overtime to shed the blood of civilians amd not really going after Hamas but indiscriminately killing everyone in their way.

You realize there are a lot of options between "just roll over and play dead" and murdering thousands of innocent civilians, right?
Obviously, but that doesn't add much help to the discourse. BTW, it isn't "murder" per se, so you've played your hand miserably. Hamas and the Iranians who prompt Hamas don't want peace, which has been known for a long time standing, and Iran will never give that up because of the teaching within the Hadith.

That's the appearance you want to see (IMO).

Such is typical of fervent Israel apologists, ie,
continually seeking the ad hominem, ignoring
Israel's brutality as a source of continued hostility,
& blaming violence from Hamas as an excuse for
further brutalization.
This seems particularly so from many Christians &
who appear to not value Muslim lives much, & for
whom vengeance justifies overkill.
We see this from the overwhelmingly Christian
Dem & Pub leadership, who don't challenge Israel's
oppression & murder of civilians....merely clucking
"Israel has the right to self defense", thereby tacitly
approving of every heinous act.

Israel holds the overwhelming position of power &
leadership, yet it repeatedly chooses retaliation,
thus ensuring the status quo of ever more death
& boots on necks.
Perhaps that is what you want to see?

Such is typical of fervent anti-Israel apologists, ie,
continually seeking the ad hominem, ignoring
Islamic brutality as a source of continued hostility,
& blaming defense from Israel as an excuse for
further brutalization.
This seems particularly so from many people
who appear to not value Jewish lives much, & for
whom violence justifies the murder of the innocent.
We see this from the overwhelmingly anti-Judeo/Christian
libertarian leadership, who don't challenge Islamic
oppression & murder of civilians....merely clucking
"Palestinians have the right to send countless missiles to kill the innocent", thereby tacitly
approving of every heinous act.

You were saying? :)

Rather than playing this game...

1) How would you force Palestine to use the billions of dollars in aid for actually helping the people vs buying arms and making tunnels
2) How would you stop the constant barrage of missiles into Israel
3) How would you prevent the incursions without harming children in Palestine.

The way Israel is handling things doesn't suggest they want peace either they way their actions are, without a doubt, doing wonders for driving Hamas recruitment as Palestinian civilians see Israel appearing ti make no real effort to spare them from violence and death and attacking them anyways.

The hospital in GAZA was just blown up. Over 800 dead and the estimated civilians that were there is over 4,000.

Now the questions
Did HAMAS do it?
Did Israel do it?

Will Biden turn the plane around and just stay here in the USA?

There will be evidence by the aircraft carriers, satellites and drones?

Who will be held accountable?

Mineretes in West Bank are calling for the people to come out and protest.

Let's hope no other countries will retaliate.

I don't think we need to pretend either side is the good guys in this one. Heck it's been reported Israel is dropping white phosphorus. Evil and a little less evil sure, but I get tired of supporting "lesser evils."
It's ironic that the Zionists are also committing gradual genocide like the Nazis and taking over the land which was also given to the Palestinians and other Semites by a god.
