Guardian Angels

angles are beings created by god that have no will of their own, their knowledge is limited to what god has given to them and they can take many forms i.e. Shape shift. they do that which is the will of god and praise him.

on topic, i dont believe that any one has a guardian angel, if god wills he can cause harm to us, and nothign not even an angel can stop it from coming. if god wills to protect us, nothing can harm us, no angel, no devil and no person.

I definitely believe in guardian angels.......I don't think that humans become angels, humans were created in the image of God. Angels were created independent from humans....I believe they are no specific gender but the Bible does call all angels by male names....especially the angels that were messengers. As to how they carry out God's missions I don't know, but I know they do.....

I agree with you on the most except the gender thing. The fact that they're given male names is not evidence of a specific gender at all as the so called male names are a human judgemental decision. In the original greek angels have no gender while God (in the original greek and hebrew) are both male and female. The word angel also mean messenger and therefore even humans can be angels in some sense though I agree that we should make a destinction between humans and those specifically created as angels (which includes a wide variety such as gerubim, sheraphim etc.).

I guess I've got to say I believe in them. I believe we all have one watching out for us. I hope so!
However, do angels have wings?

According to the Bible - yes, angels have wings. There are even different kinds of wings. Some have six wings (two to fly with and for to cover they're faces and feet), fiery wings, wings full of eyes. Read especially the book of Revelation in the NT and the book of Ezekiel in the OT.

If you ever get a chance pick up a copy of The Urantia Book. Angels, and other celestial entities are well defined.

...both of which are spiritual visions which involve visual metaphors for events and ideas. Is it wise to trust such a book to offer literal descriptions of supernatural creatures?

That may be true, but... as I am not a Christian myself and believe that the Bible is only one of the many Holy Scriptures I don't see a problem with interpreting it literal as well as symbolically at the same time. It's a book about/from God, and understanding God is difficult in itself.... so why not play around with ideas and make it as unlimited as humanly possible. That's what I love about religion

Yes, guardian Angels are a part of Catholicism. You can talk to them, get to know them and ask for assistance. All humans have one. They're there to help us in our journey through life. No, humans don't become Angels when we die. Humans and Angels are basically entirely different species with different purposes. No, they don't literally have wings or gender, either (in artwork, they are usually presented as androgynous for this reason). They can appear in many different forms, though, including as women in my experience. Oh, and they do have free will. They freely choose to carry out God's will. God apparently doesn't like robots. He wants His creations to freely choose Him. Otherwise it's meaningless.

Living From the Heart.
I believe that every person has their own guardian angel. What do you, as a Christian, believe?

I have been told I have a Guardian Angel who is a very tall bald headed Zulu Warrior by two friends who never knew one another; Tommy(who was a medium)who told me about my Guardian Angel in the late 1990's who has departed this plane of existence, and my wife who is also a medium told me shortly after we met.

I do think we each have a Guardian Angel and a support crew who are watching over us, but how many of us are aware of their presence ?

I was gently guided by my support crew to seek medical advice in 2003, and if I had ignored their presence I would not be here writing this post !

I also think my nan is around me a lot, I had a visit from her three months after she had left her body.

Final thoughts: Theosophists also refer to Guardian Angels as Invisible Helpers. I am about to begin researching Guardian Angels/Angels/Invisible Helpers and will begin by starting with Biblical Angels.

Blessings in Christ to all who read this post. Also thanks to those who give me a thumbs up !!!
