Twilight Hue
Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Here is the first-ever photo of a black hole, the result of a triumph of modern astronomy
How cool is that??

OK, I looked at the picture.Ummmm...... Eerrrr.... fing is......... just finkin' 'bout that...
............. yeah.....
............. blue?
So not something about Obama not being black
Without even looking at the picture, I already have a pretty good idea how a "black hole" looks like.
How cool? Knowing the surface you find the entropy. Knowing its mass you find the energy. Dividing the latter with the former gives you the temperature. Ergo, how cool it is.

enough.
I like to think in terms of how HOT it is.
I think they have it easy now, because they can buy any old laptop and simulate it.I'm constantly amazed by what astronomers can pull off.
The "colors" of the photograph are clearly artificial since the light came in the radio frequencies. But color more towards the blue end would be the higher frequencies received and those at the red end would be lower frequencies received and brightness is intensity. Since we cannot "see" the actual frequencies the change is understandable.I had a thought regarding color.....
What's the color of Hawking radiation?
