if you're wanting an easy read then I'd certainly recommend the Common English BibleNIV as I find it more or less easy to read.
My Koren Tanakh is great.
It hasn't any. There is probably some but it's not in my edition. What's the commentary like? Are the classical commentators included? Any innovations from Rabbi Steinsaltz? Etc?
I prefer it to Artscroll because it uses second person singular. This makes it that much easier to know what is going on and with who. What's the commentary like? Are the classical commentators included? Any innovations from Rabbi Steinsaltz? Etc?
What’s your favourite translation of The Holy Bible, and why?
I use the Common English Bible the most as I find it’s the easiest to follow
(I also own a NIV and a New King James Version)

If I recall, the ESV had a controversial take on the divorce passage in Malachi.ESV but I read a greek interlinear and don't mind reading other translations
I like the ESV in principle because it tries to not make translational choices for you

I mean their translation was different to most other mainstream ones.from the notes? well notes are note... I don't put allot of weight in Bible notes
God allowed divorce but hates it is the context I think... God will sometimes permit something he hates... that might also apply to slavery int he Bible.. in some cases a bad situation needs restraint from being worse.
Koren also publishes the "Steinsaltz Humash"... that's what I thought you were talking about.I prefer it to Artscroll because it uses second person singular. This makes it that much easier to know what is going on and with who.
